Mitsuki x Reader (Rin)

The start of something great

(finally done with the sex scene 😂) {also this takes place about three months after part four}

I woke up next to Mitsuki I had had a smooth transition into the ninja academy, and I was on my way to joining a squad, Mitsuki and I were hoping to get onto the same one,but the chances are slim, I've also made a few new friends, I've befriended Inojin, Shikadai, Iwabe, and Metal. I felt so excited to start the day. Mitsuki was still asleep, so I thought I would give him a little, wake up push. I moved over and started to spoon him, he woke up, and turned around and stared at me blankly for a couple of seconds, then he smiled, and kissed me and said " good morning," "good morning," I said back, then I got up out of bed, and asked "so, what are we gonna do today?" " I think we should go down to the pond, and maybe go fishing, or maybe go swimming or , something, I don't know, just have a relaxing day." "That sounds nice," I said, changing out of My pajamas, I looked over at him, he still had his adorable semi-awake look on his face. I reached for my tool belt, when suddenly there was a loud knocking at our door, it was Boruto, he looked surprised to see me "Rin? What are you doing here? I thought this was Mitsuki's house?" "We moved in together like, four months ago Boruto, you know this". " well I must have forgotten, but anyways, you two hurry up and get to the academy, they're announcing squads today!" When Boruto said that, I smiled and said " thanks, we'll meet you there!" I closed the door and ran over to Mitsuki, who was starting to go back to sleep, I jumped into the bed and said " get up!" "They're announcing squads today we've gotta hurry!" Mitsuki looked at me wide eyed and then got out of bed, he slowly started walking towards his dresser and got changed, then I made him breakfast, scrambled eggs with cumin, and parsley, his favorite. And he made me an omelet with ham, cheddar cheese, and parsley, usually we take out time eating each other's cooking, but today we just it down quickly and ran out the door, we ran over to the ninja academy. On the way over we met up with the others and started to talk about who wanted who on their squad, and how excited everyone was, that was except for me, I was terrified, what if I got into a squad, and we all fail because of a mistake I made. I started to sweat, I was overthinking things again, I just had to clear my mind and focus on helping the team to the best of my abilities. We got to the academy, and there was a crowd of students waiting to hear which squad they were on, we joined up with the crowd, nervously talking about who was probably going to end up dragging down their team, I kept thinking to myself, what if I'm the one who drags down my team. Mitsuki could see that I was nervous, he held my hand in support, he whispered in my ear " you'll do great, I promise, you're the best in the class at water style, and lightning style as well, that's a useful combination, it'll work out trust me". I looked at him, and let go of his hand, I hugged him, and squeezed him as tight as I could, I never wanted to let him go, I felt safe with him, I didn't want to have to leave him. And that's when I realized why I was really nervous, I didn't want to be on a different squad than Mitsuki.
