Romantic Evening

Chapter 6

Killian's POV

It was break time and for the last couple weeks Gold has been keeping a close eye on me and on Emma. I should have never let him get into my head. Then I saw Emma talking with August or more like flirting with him and this weird anger was boiling inside. I didnt like what I was seeing and August had his hand on her shoulder and it was killing me.

"Killian? Killian?" Belle says.

"What?" I ask.

"You really shouldnt be staring at your assistant like that." She says.

"Like what?" I ask.

"Like you want to punch August in the face then take Emma back to your apartment and rip her clothes off." She says.

"I dont want to do that." I say.

"Oh Killian. I've known you since forever. That is exactly what you want to do." She says.

"Well even if I want to I cant." I say.

"Yeah. For one your her boss. For two no dating coworkers because you always mess it up." She says.

"Wait.. I dont always mess it up." I say.

"Killian once the girl starts to talk about getting serious you bail. Its been like this since High School. You have never committed yourself to another person. That how you mess it up." She says.

"Belle.." I start but couldnt finish.

She was right I never had been committed to someone else and I dont know why. Though I also have never felt this strange feeling Im feeling for Emma. What is happening to me?

Emma's POV

August was helping me learn the computer system and it was nice to have someone to talk to. I mean I have Snow, but she cant seem to stop staring at David every 5 seconds.

"So Em, would you like me to help you more after work. I dont live to far." August says.

"Yeah I'd like that thanks." I say.

"Cool meet me outside at 6." He says.

He got up and Snow was just staring at me and shook her head.  

"What?" I ask.

"Emma you cant date him." She says.

"Oh god no. Ohhh did I forget to mention. August used to go to my middle school. We were close, but we went to different high schools and lost touch. He is like my brother." I say.

"Oh... Do you think David would like me if we didnt work together?" She asks.

"I think he likes you regardless. Hey do you think if there was a petition to remove the dating rule and everyone signed it. Would Brennan Jones remove his rule?" I ask.

"Maybe, but I dont know. All any of us really know is that he instated it years ago and no one knows why." She says.

"Killian told me it was because if people dated the slip up at work and end up breaking up and fighting." I say.

"Thats what they say, but know one knows why it was stated in the first place." She says.

"I know why it was. Now Miss.Swan, my office please." Gold says from behind us.

I got up and followed him to his office and when we walked past Killian he seemed awfully freaked out. Oh god Gold is gonna have me fired.
