Romantic Evening

Chapter 9

Emma's POV

It was time for lunch and I had to go over what I was gonna say to Brennan Jones. As I went over my cards Killian was watching me from another table.

"Wow you put alot of thought in this." Snow says.

"Yeah I know. I basically thought about how you were talking about David and the way others spoke about someone they like here. It really helped me see that all this is the right thing to do." I say.

"Do you want me to come with you? Because I could help you." She says.

"No I'll go alone. Just in case this doesnt work and I end up fired I dont want to bring others down with me." I say.

"Emma Swan, a word please?" Killian asks.

I walked over to him and took my cards with me.

"Yes Mr.Jones?" I question.

"Your really gonna do this?" He asks.

"Yes I am. No matter what you say." I tell him.

"Oh hey calm down. You know Im your boss right. You cant talk to me like that." He says.

"If it bothers you then fire me." I say.

"Im not gonna fire you unless you screw up the work I give you. Just remember if this blows up dont come crying to me. Oh and after your meeting with my father. I placed a ton of work on your desk." He says and walked away.

Killian started making me very nervous about if this passes and everything falls apart I could ruin everything. It was time for my meeting with Brennan Jones.

"Hello Mr.Jones. Im Emma Swan." I say.

"Yes I know. So dating in this office you would like to change this rule. Now my son Killian your boss made this rule come back and you want to remove it. Now may I know why?" He asks me.

"Well I noticed that there are some people in this office who are interested in other workers. So I believe that they are missing out on the possibility of true love." I say.

"Okay now alot of people have signed your petition and everyone seems on board even Rumple Gold. Now I would love to make this rule go away, but unless you give me at least one couple that might share love. I'll let it go for sure. Now continue." He says.

Crap I didnt prepare for this.

"Okay. Snow White and David Nolan. When I first got here I saw the way Snow looked at him and the way she spoke about him her eyes lite up. Then I talked to David and he spoke about her in the same way its just beautiful. I believe they are meant to be. There are others like Regina and Robin, Zelena and your own son Liam. Just how nice it is when they talk about each other, but its sad when they talk about how they can never be together because of the rule. Its just sad that they want to be together but cant because of this rule." I say.

"I hear what your saying and you know what Im on board. Congrats Miss.Swan you got the rule to disappear." He says.

"Thanks you." I say and shake his hand.

As I walked out Killian was at the door and I could tell he was upset that I got the rule to go away. I just wish I knew why.
