Chapter 43

*Madi's POV*

Today is Ethan's 1st birthday. Me and Jace are getting ready while the kids play. Jace comes up behind me and hugs my waist.

"You know your really pretty" he says

"Thanks but if you are trying to get some not happening"

"Awwwwe"

He starts to kiss my neck.

"Really Jace our kids are in the other room"

"Well maybe I want another"

"I want another but not right now"

"I understand thats fine don't think you have to have another kid right now you are the one carrying it. It's your choice"

"I love you"

I look back at him with head on his shoulder.

"I love you too"

He kisses my head and leaves because one of the kids is crying.

"Oh the parent life" he says as he leaves.

I laugh and finish my makeup and go find my family. Turns out it was Kaden who was crying for some unknown reason I would have thought it would have been Ethan.

Jace is holding Kaden in his hip while the other two play. Kaden is seven but our kids are small so Jace can easily carry him but I can't really only If he falls asleep on the couch I can but I can't hold him.

I walk over to them and place my hand on Kaden's back and rub it. I kiss him head and Ethan crawls over to me and I pick him up.

"Hey baby"

I kiss his face and he puts his head on my shoulder.

"Someone is sleepy"

I bring Ethan to his room and put him in his crib. After I decided to post something

I go back to the play room and see Jace Kaden and Carter all playing together. It's so cute. I love seeing how Jace has taken up the dad roll at 18 almost 19.

I go into the kitchen to see the cake. Jace got it this morning and I was watching the kids so I haven't seen it yet. It looks very good.

I get out all the chips and the dip and put them in bowls. Jace comes out with both kids and sets up the tv for them to watch.

He comes into the kitchen and wraps his arm around my shoulders.

"Yes Jace"

"What"

"You want something"

"No I don't"

"Yes you do what is it"

"A kiss"

I reach up peck his lips and go back to what I was doing.

"I want a real kiss"

"I'll give you one later"

"You better or I will tickle you"

He puts his hands on my waist and squeezes. I squirm away.

"Alright alright"

He smiles and kisses my temple. I finish setting out the food and go get Ethan who woke up from his nap. I pick him up and take him to the living room where everyone is.

He reaches out to Jace and he takes him and holds him on his lap.

A hour later all for our family comes over. Ethan gets passed around like all of our kids did on their first birthday.

We eat and I talk with everyone. Most people are asking me when we are having our next kid and I honestly don't know.

We cut the cake and Ethan has it all over his face after Jace gives him a piece.

After a couple hours everyone leaves and I give the kids a bath and put them to bed.

Me and Jace get into bed and I just cuddle into him.

"You said I can get a real kiss" he says

I roll on top of him and just lay on him.

"Madi"

I look up and kiss him. His arms are wrapped around my waist and I have my hands in his hair. There is still the sparks after 10 years of being together.

We pulls away and I lay in my side and Jace wraps his arm around me and we fall asleep.
