"I don't like it," She said bluntly. "Take it off." She began to pick at the individual threads as an effort to undo it.

"No can do, Hunny," He sighed. "Sorry." She would retaliate against that word but she kept her mouth closed, luckily. "Now, you better be polite to my Father and Mother - the King and Queen -, understood?" Hesitantly, she nodded and he dropped her wrist. "Let's go." And with that, they left the bedroom.

"We're coming, Jess, I promise."

A queasy feeling filled Jessica's stomach as they walked down the cold, hard steps. Their feet made a small padding sound as they walked down. She held her breath as she walked down the last step, mentally preparing herself for what might be coming next. "Mother, Father," Fenrir's voice was deep and soft now, not like the tones he had shown to Aphmau. "I wouldn't like you to meet someone." He nudged her forward and Aphmau gulped unconsciously. She pulled a small, polite smile and curtsied - being a Princess does have its advantages when it comes to manners and such.

"Nice to meet you," Her voice was soft. "Fenrir has told me such wonderful things about you both." She was a pro at flattering people into getting her own way.

"Really?" The queen raised one of her dark eyebrows and stifled a laugh. "Has he now?" Fenrir's face was red and he whispered sharply into Jess's ear;

"What are you doing?!" She took no notice of what he had said.

"Yes, he has," She continued with a small giggle. "He has told me how greatly you rule over this lovely kingdom, and how it would be a shame if we were to take over." She had a small pout on her lips. "You have a super sweet son."

"Yes," The queen chuckled, "it would seem we do."

Fenrir's face was still red and he stuttered something out, "Geez, Aphmau, you sure are a flatterer." She smiled with a small giggle and she nodded.

"Why thank you." The king was staying rather quiet throughout all of this - strangely quiet.

After giving the girl a small glare, Fenrir spoke up once more. "Mother, Father, I would like you to meet Aphmau - the woman I shall be marrying tomorrow." He gripped onto my wrist and walked forwards a bit, dragging Jess with him. She purposely tripped herself up a bit.

"Sorry, I'm a bit clumsy." She smiled, giggling lightly. Fenrir sighed, clearly getting irritated by the Princess.

"Anyways, Father, as you can see she's a meif'wa," The king sat up straight and suddenly took a good look at Jessica. "A meif'wa to full-fill the prophecy." Jess suddenly dropped her funny acted and pushed her acting skills even further. She thought of the moment Sky rejected her back at the palace and tears swelled up in her eyes and looked at Fenrir, dead in the eyes.

"Prophecy?! You mean to tell me that this is for some sort of prophecy?!" She blinked her eyes as a tear or two dropped down her cheeks. "You told me that you loved me! I thought that we loved me!" Fenrir stared at the girl in horror.

"It was only ten minutes ago that you were telling me how much you hated me!" He snapped at her and she giggled in her mind. Before she could reply, a flashing light began to come from her necklace.

"C**p!" She cursed out loud. "It wasn't meant to send!"
