"Come on, let's move!" Connie stated after Amin's please to be left behind went unheard. I nodded and we ran to the edge of the roof, the howls of the abnormal tighten shaking the air. Suddenly, Armin slapped Connie's hand away before we could make the jump.

"No! I've got an idea!" Armin exclaimed and we turned to face him in confusion.

"Well, what is it?" Connie asked, raising an eyebrow. The sun was now bleeding through once again and the air was hot and humid, almost difficult to breathe. It was as if fate was saying, things are going to get better, but it will be hard. I'll give Armin credit, he was more book smart than action wise. I couldn't fathom what kind of idea we had in this situation where time now played an important factor.

"Only you three are capable of pulling this off, so it's your choice. This may sound crazy. But I think he might be useful..." He glanced at the abnormal and my heart stopped.

"Y-You can't be serious?!" I scoffed incredulously, grabbing my piston grips for reassurance.  I wasn't the only one floored by this idea.

"Woah, you mean the titan!?" Connie gasped, stepping backward.

"He only attacks his own kind, he seems to have no interest in us. What if we can somehow steer him to HQ and let him lose on the other titans. Look, we know he's taken at least one out already. We can use him as a weapon!" Armin quickly explained and I slapped a hand to my forehead.

"You've got to be kidding?" Connie said in a strangled voice,  staring at the blonde in horror.

"Well it's not like we have anything else to lose," I sighed, looking up at the sky. "We've already lost a majority of our soldiers. The others are probably out of gas now.could it hurt? We'd only be losing our lives..."

"Yeah, well, I'd like to keep mine, dammit!" Connie snapped at me. "How the hell do you think we're supposed to steer that thing!?"

"Something tells me he's fighting on instinct..." Armin noted, turning around to stare at the abnormal. "I'm almost sure if you take down the pair he's tangling with now he'll go look for others, that would lead him straight to HQ! We're not steering him, so much as luring him! I think it'll work, I really think it will!"

"Think?! You're asking us to risk our necks on a stupid gut feeling?!" Connie demanded angrily.

"If I'm right about this, we could put down the siege on headquarters in one fatal swoop!" Armin snapped back at him quickly, clenching his fists. I blinked as I tried to imagine how that might work out but the picture I still painted in my head was still bloody and gruesome. People would still die...

"It's worth a shot," Mikasa stated in agreement and Connie gasped.

"Seriously!?"

"Better to take a gamble on Armin's gut feeling than waiting around to be slaughtered, " Mikasa explained, looking down at Connie. "There's a decent shot, why not take it..."

"So basically, we're going to recruit a titan!" Connie said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes.

"Pretty much," I nodded. He opened his mouth to say something but realized there was nothing left to say unless he wanted to run in circles. So he closed his mouth and gave a small smile.

"Well...we'll look like real idiots if we screw this up,"

"Yeah, but if we don't look at how many lives we'll save!" Armin smiled confidently. I managed a half smile, closing my eyes as I tiredly scratched my head.
