Mystic Goddesses

Chapter 1

Once you reach the woods you take 50 big steps forward and turn left and walk until your in a clearing. Once you are in the clearing you go to the side that has a path with 3 rocks against the two tree at the entrance of the path and then you go straight on until you see a cherry blossom tree and turn to your right and walk until you see a huge oak tree. Once you reach the oak tree you know you made it.

These instructions lead you to a secret hideout for Jolene and Jupiter. Their parents made them this hideaway so that they would have a place to go when they want to have an adventure!

"We should go back soon! Dinner will be ready any minute!" Jolene said.

"Your right let's go!" Jupiter said grabbing Jolene's hand. The girls sprinted all the way home!

"DAD! MOM! Is dinner ready?" Jolene yelled as they busted into the house.

"Yeah go get washed up and then sit at the table!" Their dad yelled. The girls did as they were told and then sat at the table. When their parents came in with the food they all sat as a family and ate dinner.

After dinner, the girls took their plates to the kitchen and put them on the counter by the sink.

"Daddy! I want to play hide and seek!" Jolene said.

"I'm tired, I'm going to my room," Jupiter said.

"Our room..", Jolene corrected her while she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Our room.", Jupiter said rolling her eyes.

"Okay okay I'll count to 10 and you go hide... ready, 1...2...3...4," he said with his hands over his face. Jolene ran to the kitchen and hid in the cabinet under the sink. There aren't many items cluttering this cabinet so her tiny body can fit.

"Ready or not here I come!", He yelled. He walked into the living room and checked behind the tv, couch and inside the entertainment center. Nothing. He then moved on to the kitchen.

"I'm going to find you my little Jojo bean!" he said trying to get her to laugh. Luckily for him, Jolene couldn't hold in her giggle.

" I wonder where Jo could be, is she in the fridge? No... How about under the table? No again... Ah, I bet she is...UNDER THE SINK!" he said whipping the cabinet door open.

"AHHH" Jolene screamed and giggled as she tried to squish herself past her dad.

"I don't think so!" their dad said as he scooped up Jolene and threw her over his shoulder. He carried her into the living room and plopped her down on the couch and started tickling her.

"DAD... STOP... PLEASE!" Jolene yelled between giggles.

"What? What am I doing?" he said pretending he didn't know what he was doing wrong. When he stopped she used that as her opportunity to get up and run.

"Jup! Help me!" Jolene said as she ran into their room!

"What?! What is going on!" Jupiter jumped off the bed ready to run.

"Dad is trying to tickle me to death!" Jolene cried out.

"The closet!" Jupiter suggested. They both run into the closet and hide under all their stuffed animals.

"I wonder where my little angles could be?" the dad said.

"What is going on?! All I hear is screaming!" their mom said as she walked into the girl's room.

"Our daughters are hiding from us." their dad said.

"Oh!... well I wonder where they could be!" their mom said.

"...Under the beds?!" their parents both looked.

"Nothing! How about the closet!" their dad said as they opened the door to the closet.

"Where are they! Bill, they are getting smarter!" their mom said.

"I know they must be getting it from me! We all know they don't get it from you, Dorothy." Bill said joking around.

"Haha very funny Bill, but you know what is even funnier? The fact that you are going to be sleeping on the couch tonight." Dorothy said as she hops on his back.

"Hey are t we supposed to be finding the kids!" Bill says trying to get Dorothy off his back.

"Yeah but this is so much more fun!" Dorothy exclaimed. "Plus I have a better view up here!"

As the girls are waiting for their parents to find them, they decide they are going to scare them!

"We can wait until they least expect it!" Jupiter whispered to Jolene. They waited until their parents were busy talking with each other and then quickly glanced a knowing look at each other and hoped out.

"BOOOOOO!" the girls yell in sync as they run towards their parents.

"AHHH!" their parents yell in response and Dorothy fell off Bill's back. She quickly stood up and they picked up both the girls and spun them around and placed them on the ground again.

"Do you guys want to watch a movie before bed?" Dorothy asked the girls.

"Yeah, I want to watch Ariel!" Jolene yells.

"Me too!" Jupiter yells also.

They all sat down on the couch and watched The Little Mermaid until the girls fell asleep. Bill and Dorothy brought the girls up to their room and put them into their beds.

"Bill I'm scared! We have built a pretty nice life here with the girls and they seem to love it here. But I worry that Halo will find us soon if we don't keep moving." Dorothy said.

"Me too my love, but I will do everything in my power to make sure our family is okay." Bill said hugging Dorothy trying to comfort her.

"I wish our girls didn't have to go through this! They don't deserve this type of life! Always hiding and never bring able to settle down and make friends or on top of that, us just having time to be a family." Dorothy said.

"Honey I love our girl and I would do anything to make sure they are safe and out of harm's way. I know it is a lot to handle sometimes but we are strong because we have each other and nothing can separate us. Let's get some sleep!", Bill said wrapping his arm around Dorothy's shoulder and leading her out of the girls' room.
