How many days did I doze off? Honestly, it felt like a year. I have this feeling na sobrang tagal ko na talagang nakahiga. Pero I know na isang araw lang ang pagitan niyon.
Mabigat na naman ang ulo ko just like the first time I got to open my eyes.
Anong araw na kaya ngayon? I stand up. Pero napahiga uli ako. May nakasaksak na namang IV sa kamay ko. Tinanggal ko ito at tuluyang bumangon.
Hindi pa man ako nakatayo nang maayos nang biglang pumasok ang isang babae sa kwarto ko at basta na lamang akong hinablot at tumakbo.
"Hey! What are you trying to do?" Alma ko sa kaniya.
"Nariyan na sila! I don't know what happened but it's early in the morning for God's sake!"
"W-what? What the hell are you talking?" I stopped just to ask her. "Naguguluhan ako, okay? Might as well explain." I demand.
"You— don't remember. Do you?"
"Remember what exactly?"
"I'll explain later." Then she just drag me just like that.
Pumasok kami sa isang room na halos katulad lang ng akin at marami din sila doon.
The one dragging me closed the door frantically and she's breathing heavily.
"Stay quiet for a while, okay?"
Then I heard it.
It is like a growl or something I cannot comprehend what.
It lasted almost 30 minutes when the unknown where nowhere to be seen nang binuksan nito ang pintuan.
Nakahinga naman ang lahat, kasali ako.
"Listen guys! We have a major problem." Then she looked at me. "She doesn't remember."
"You what?"
"Oh my gosh."
"Whatever."
"Problema talaga."
"How?"
"Pwede ba! Tumigil muna kayo?" Then I saw him, he looked like the one who dragged me in the hallway.
"Caleb."
"Whoa! You remember his name but you don't remember me?" Exaggerated na nito.
"Cali."
"That's good."
"I remember the names, yes. But I don't know how the hell did I met you."
Cali then explained to me the moment she found me asking the nurse one time up to the last time we are together— in the cafeteria.
"But I don't understand. Nanaginip na naman ba ako? I mean I remember waking up in my workplace and— and there is this guy, I— I can't remember."
"What? You dreamt? Whoa! How did that happen? You were with us the whole time!" Sambit naman ng babaeng may masungit na aura.
"Yes. It's true." Said the guy having a blonde hair. "We've been running almost a week now. But we always fail. Dahil bumabalik at bumabalik lang tayo sa floor ng rooms natin."
"True. Gusto ko na ngang isipin na may sa demonyo itong gusali at pinaglalaruan na tayo."
"Aliens."
"Or aliens." Sarcastic na sagot naman ni JD kay Zara.
Yeah. Unti-unti kong naaalala ang mga pinagsasabi nila. But I don't understand. It's been a week na kasama nila ako but I feel like nalayo ako sa kanila ng isang araw lang!
At sino ang lalaking kasama ko? I remember him calling me love. But I don't have any recollection of him— his face and memories with him. Zero. Nada. Wala.
Suddenly, Xia stand up. "Nauuhaw ako. May water jug naman siguro sa hallway."
Hindi pa man ito nakalapit sa pintuan ay napatigil na ito. Then I saw it. May maitim na tila mahabang kamay na may matataas na kuko ang tumusok sa dibdib nito.
Napansin ko nalang ang mabigat kong paghinga kasabay nang pagtulo ng dugo mula sa bibig nito.
I was about to scream when Cali covered my mouth and silence me.
Then everything went black.
