Jack POV
She's working really hard lately, I can tell. Got a deadline today she says, and I can't help but laugh as she asks me to stay behind for just a second so she can finish something off, running around like a madman."Slow down," I ask gently with a chuckle.
She looks at me in bewilderment, and then smiles.
"Can't. This paper isn't going to write itself. I wanna get that top grade, I told you."
I assure her that she'll still get that top grade if she calms down just a little bit, but she waves me off with a huff, resuming her pace. She could get the top grade with her eyes closed, but she doesn't think so.
At last, she slips on her usual loose-fitting hoodie and flashes me her classic grin. She looks tired, but determined.
"Come on, let me just give in this work, and then we can go and meet Jace. I hope, hope, hope I get this grade. Honestly, do you I think I will?"
I shake my head in amusement, following her down the corridor, saying yes of course she will get the grade- she worked so hard for it. It's nice to hear her laugh at that, saying thanks for believing in me.
She looks happy.
