Jace POV
She told us her granddad has an aneurysm. We told her it was okay to cry, but she wasn't having it.
"He'd want me to be strong," she said sadly. "I'll always be strong for him. Always."
I knew how much she loved her granddad, and I just hoped she didn't dwell on it too much. She knew me and Jack were here for her anytime she needed it too.
She looked so much happier after hearing our words of support, and she hugged us both tight, a couple of stray tears slipping softly. We hugged her back, happy to be there. It was going to be so weird without the both of them when we leave school in a few months. I'm going to miss them.
But for now, I'm happy.
