Hi everybody, it's the author. How are we doing?
As you can see, this book has made it to a grand end; now fully edited and completed. I have completed very few stories in my life and completing this one is a real positive thing for me. I feel like this book has volume as well as closure, and they're two very important things to have in a book.
Thank you to those who read this book, to those who voted and to those who stumbled across this and thought they'd give it a try. It means a lot. It's definitely not the most happy short story in the world, but if you enjoyed it even a little bit, I have done my job.
The themes in this book are obviously quite strong, but I've always wanted to tackle them in a book. I was saying to a friend as I was writing the book that now I feel I've got my own sense of closure with writing about these themes, and that now I'll probably never write something as dark as this again. It was a pleasure to write and a pleasure to get into the heads of Jace and Jack as well as her. I based the boys off of loose influences from my life, but I'm sure the two know exactly who they are. However, it's important to remember that none of the characters in this book are real- not Jace or Jack or even her. I am in no way tied to the main character other than with slight resemblences of appearance but nothing more.
One more thing, if any of you struggle with any of the issues mentioned in this book, please talk to someone. I know it's hard- I've been through some of the minor ones. However, talking is really the best medicine here and even if it's not immediatley, you will feel better in the end. There are so many people you can talk to- heck, even me so please don't be afraid and save yourself. You are your own hero in the end, and you have every reason to love yourself and live your life to the fullest.
Well, all in all, I say this has been a success. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed writing it.
