Jaxon and I walked through school, hand in hand, with Malique beside us. He told me she knew about our imprint and that she could be trusted. They were siblings, but there was a difference between them that there wasn't between humans, and he said he'd explain it to me later.

I saw people whispering and I cringed into Jaxon's side. I hated most of these people anyway. "Oh my God, she's such a slut," I heard an all too familiar voice say behind me. My heart dropped as I looked back and saw Tiffany and her posse standing there.

"What the fuck did you just say?" Malique demanded as she marched over to Tiffany, getting in her face. She looked scary, like she could break Tiffany with a snap of her fingers, and I couldn't help how happy it made me to see her standing up for me. Jaxon wrapped his arm around my shoulders as we watched his sister taking care of business.

We saw Tiffany gulp, and I felt an inner joy, now she knew how I felt, being pushed around by her for all these years. "What are you going to do about it, slut?" Tiffany asked. Wrong move, stupid bitch.

"I'll rip out your fucking vagina and stuff it down your fucking throat. Everyone here knows that you're the slut, not Jesse. Next time you decide to tell someone that Jesse is a slut, I'll let out both the little secrets I heard you telling your group of whores in the girls' bathroom. I suggest you stay the hell away from me, my brother, and our friends. Don't make me put you in your place, bitch, it won't be pretty," Mal all but growled the last part.

She turned on the deadly heel of her shiny black stiletto and strutted back over to us. Taking my hand, she said, "We won't be hearing anything from her for a very long time. Fucking nasty bitch."

I laughed and hugged her as we walked down the hall. Jaxon took Mal and I to our CW class and I could feel myself going into that zombie-like state of mine. I guess all the drama of the day had held it back a little bit.

"How'd you do?" Jaxon asked as we walked hand in hand down the halls of the school. Mal had said she was going straight home and that she'd just run home. We told her we'd see her later and then we took our time to get to his black mustang.

"I think I did good," I told him. "Well, I hope I did good. I feel like it was all too easy, but you know, it's whatever, right? It's not like my whole life and being matters on passing those finals to pass the classes, to get my degree-" I was cut off by a pair of warm, soft lips.

He chuckled and pecked my temple after he pulled away, "You're ridiculous, Jesse. How are we going to get together at Thomas's if he and CeCe hate Mal and I?" he asked, looking down at me.

"We're going to show up and demand they listen to our story, then we'll give them an ultimatum; either they accept us, or they don't, and we stop talking. I refuse to lose you, Jaxon," I told him, being honest. Just a few hours away from him was hell, I didn't know how I would react to more than that.

"I can't make you choose between myself and your friends, Jessabelle. How can you be happy like that?" he whispered, brushing a stray strand of my hair out of my face as we stood beside his car, Toby now back with Mrs. Luck.

"You're not," I murmured, taking his hand and playing with his long fingers. "They are, if they can't accept the fact that I love you and that you love me, that's their problem. Yes, they're my best friends, but if they can't accept it, they're proving that I'm not as important to them as they are to me," I told him.

He sighed, "I feel guilty," he mumbled, placing his forehead against mine. His lips brushed against mine, "One day, they won't be here anymore, you have to decide if you're okay with that, never hanging out with them, just because of me," he said.

I gulped, "I don't want to think about that, not now," I whimpered. He pressed his lips fully on mine, wrapping his arms around my waist. I wrapped mine around his neck, deepening kiss and standing on my toes.

"I love you," he murmured once we pulled away. He smiled at me and I could see love and adoration in his golden eyes. He opened my door for me and I climbed in.

"I love you, too," I smiled at him when he got into the driver's seat. He held my hand as he drove to my house and then he opened my door for me again once we got there. "Are you hungry?" I asked as I walked through the door and into the kitchen.

He chuckled, "No, thank you, love, I'm alright," he said. I shrugged and got out the peanut butter and nutella, along with the bread and a butter knife. I made a sandwich and poured myself a glass of milk before sitting down and eating.

Jaxon stood behind me and rubbed my neck and shoulders. I let out a relaxed sigh. "It's good to not have finals to worry about," I mumbled, rolling my head to the side to give Jaxon more access with his hands.

He chuckled, his warm breath hitting the back of my neck and sending a shiver down my spine. "I agree. I'm just glad my girlfriend won't be a zombie and ignore me all day. I truly thought you were mad at me," he said.

I leaned back against him and looked up at him, the top of my head against his chest. "I'm sorry," I whispered quietly.

He smiled down at me and leaned down to press his soft lips to mine. I smiled into it and he pulled away. "Don't be," he breathed. "It's not your fault," he chuckled lightly.

"I love love love you, Jax," I sing songed as I sat up all the way and took a bite of my peanut butter and nutella sandwich.

"I love love love you, too, Jess, even if you taste like peanut butter and nutella," he said and kissed the top of my head lovingly.

I laughed, "You don't like me tasting like peanut butter and nutella?" I asked as I took the last bite of my sandwich before I turned to face him.

He held his hand out to my face and wiped something off the corner of my mouth. He brought it to his mouth and sucked the nutella that had dripped off my sandwich onto my chin. "I don't mind it," he said, examining his fingers, "but I prefer the way you taste naturally," he said.

"How do I taste naturally?" I asked, beyond curious. Did I taste funny? Or fruity? Or sour? Or sweet? Or a combination?

"You taste like you smell, cinnamon and apples. It's very appealing," he breathed, pressing his full lips to mine once again.

"Hey! No PDA in the kitchen!" Channing's voice sounded from behind us. He came in, his arms crossed his chest, a teasing glare on his face.

I scooted away from Jaxon just a little bit, "Sorry, Chan," I mumbled, playing with my fingers as a blush fell across my cheeks.

"Well, Channing, your cousin and I have to go to Thomas's house to try and fix the situation we've gotten ourselves into. If he doesn't forgive us, I'll have her home by one," Jaxon said.

Channing nodded, "Okay. I'll see you later, Jesse. Be careful, be safe, and be good. Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" he called as we walked out of the house.

Jaxon then opened my door for me and I got in. After he got in and we buckled up, he started the drive to Thomas's house.

When we got there, Jaxon and I got out and walked to Thomas's front door. I knocked and we heard Thomas call out that he was on his way and we waited.

'Here goes nothing' I thought as the door began to open and revealed my best friend.
