Jaxon had faithfully been at each of my classes after each period, and he hardly let me carry anything, whether it was my own things, or Toby's things. I had to admit, I kind of liked him being around. I was trying not to get attached, though, because I knew what that could do to me. After this week, we may not even be friends anymore.

I sighed and CeCe nudged me, "What's up with you? You've been acting off all day. Did Tiffany come up to you, again? I swear I will beat the crap out of her," CeCe said, glaring at the thought.

"And who's Mister Sexy who brought you to class?" Thomas asked, leaning forward and placing his chin on his hand as he waited for the newest gossip involving my love life. He was so much more interested in mine than CeCe's because mine was almost nonexistent.

"His name's Jaxon. I really like talking to him, but I'm sure after this week, after we don't have a baby to take care of, we won't be friends. I think all he wants is to get a good grade, so he's just trying to buddy up to me," I admitted, even though it hurt.

"Have you seen the way he looks at you? He looks at you with so much adoration, I don't think he'll use you to get a good grade, Jesse, I think he's honestly into you," Thomas said as he picked up his book bag and slung it over his shoulder, considering that class was over in two minutes.

"We'll just have to wait and see," I said as I covered Toby back up with his blanket. He was currently "sleeping" so I was extra careful, his cries were going to be the reason I was submitted to the insane asylum.

"Wait and see about what?" that all too familiar voice asked from behind me. I turned to him and saw him with his blond locks sticking to his forehead. He pushed them back and looked at me curiously, tilting his head to the side and making me squeal inside at his adorableness.

I blushed, "Nothing, you wouldn't understand. It's an inside joke," I said as CeCe and Thomas giggled at my awkwardness. I cleared my throat, "Anyway, you've met CeCe, this is Thomas, my other best friend," I said.

"It's a pleasure," Jaxon said, smiling at Thomas and shaking his hand. Thomas pulled him closer, whispering something in his ear that made his eyes widen. Jaxon stepped back and cleared his throat. I groaned and glared at Thomas before going to step around Jaxon when I saw a dark haired girl in front of me. A girl I didn't know.

"Jaxon, aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?" she asked, her voice light and feathery. Her amber eyes burned through me as I stood frozen, staring back at her, this had to be his girlfriend, she's gorgeous.

"Jessabelle, this is my sister, Malique. Mal, this is my new friend, Jesse, and our fake son, Toby," Jaxon looked at me, "Do you mind if Mal joins us for lunch? She's not as good at making friends as I am," he informed. I looked at Malique and felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. She was his sister, thank God.

"No, it's fine, she can come," I said with an assuring smile. I looked at Thomas and CeCe, who were also smiling warmly, thank God they accepted everyone. It was a bit more difficult for me to accept people, but I think I could grow to like this girl.

The bell rang and we all left. Thomas, CeCe, and Mal were arguing over where we should go to lunch and Jaxon and I just trailed behind them, him holding our bags and the diaper bag, and me holding Toby in his car seat.

I strapped him into the driver's side back seat of my pickup and CeCe and Thomas got in beside him. Jaxon sat in the middle in the front, Mal in the passenger's seat, and I drove.

"So, where are we going?" I asked as I checked my mirrors. I didn't really care where we went, I was just hungry and wanted something fast.

"We agreed on George's," Thomas said, referring to the coffee shop we had breakfast at every morning. I loved it there, and it was never crowded.

I pulled up and parked. I got out and Jaxon followed, he got Toby out of the back and we followed the others into the small shop. "Hey, kids, what can I get you?" George, an older Mexican man with a grey mustache and no hair, along with a plump wife, named Seri, asked.

"We're here for lunch," Thomas said and we all satin a booth, me sitting on the edge and pulling a high chair over to place Toby's car seat in.

"Who are your friends?" George asked as he came over with a pen and pad in his hands. He was always a nice man, kind of a second father to all of us.

"This is Jaxon and Malique, and Jaxon and Jesse's son Toby," CeCe answered. "They're more friends with Jesse than anything, but we're getting to know each other. Jaxon's her partner for our parenting class, and Mal is his sister," she told the old man.

"I never thought I'd see the day our little Jessabelle would make friends all on her own without the help of CeCe or Tommy," he said, smiling down at me.

I blushed, "George," I groaned, burying my face in my hands. They laughed at me and then Toby started crying. I took my face away from my face and pulled the cover over the top of the car seat. His little fists were moving up and down and cries left him. I picked him up and checked to see if he had gone to the bathroom, which he had, according to the yellow light glowing in his diaper. I picked him up and the diaper bag.

"Jesse, I can do it," Jaxon said, standing up, and walking over to me, holding his hands out and making grabbing gestures with his hands for the mechanism in my arms.

"I got it, just converse with my friends," I said and turned to walk to the bathroom. Jaxon grabbed my hand, stopping me from going further.

"Jesse, let me help, this is my responsibility, too," he said looking me dead in the eyes, a small frown on his pretty face, I just want to kiss it away.

I shook my head to clear my thoughts. I looked Jaxon right in the eye, a glare on my face. "I am capable of changing a mechanical baby's diaper, just like you. I got it, go sit down," I told him.

"Listen to them, they already fight like an old married couple," Thomas said, making the girls giggle. "Why don't you take him out to the truck and both of you can change him, if it's that big of a deal," he suggested and Jaxon and I looked at him. He had a point.

I started walking to the door and Jacob handed me his blanket to put over him. I opened the door to my truck and Jaxon took the blanket and laid it out, I don't know why we were going through so much trouble, is not like it was a real baby. I guess we both just wanted to get a good grade.

He took off Toby's pants and diaper and I 'wiped' him. I put a new diaper on him and Jaxon put his pants back on him. "I'm sorry I'm so stubborn," I apologized as we stood, looking at each other.

He smiled, "It's okay. Let's just agree to work together, okay? We both want good grades, and the only way to do that I  through team work," he said. I nodded and he picked Toby up and smiled at me. "Let's go back in, I'm starved," he said.
