I opened my eyes, glancing up at Jason as he stood over me. "Ready for your next session?" Jason asked, smirking at me. "Do it, Kaori. Be free. Let your inner ghoul out. Accept it." My other self told me. "Yes... I will." I replied.
"Well, Kaori?" Jason said, grabbing my hair. I looked at him and smirked. "I'm sorry. But I think I'm gonna have to take a rain check on that." I said. I broke out of the chair, leaping into the air. I landed behind him and took a strand of my hair, examining it.
"White? I like it." I mumbled. "It's not bad." I heard Kaneki say from behind me. "When did you get out?" I asked, emotionlessly as he walked up beside me.
"Not long ago. So, how do you wanna start this fight? You want me to go first, or would you like to have first crack at him?" Kaneki asked, his voice just as emotionless.
"I'll hit him high. You hit him low."
"Sounds like a plan."
Jason roared as he tried to hit with his kagune. Kaneki and I jumped into the air, dodging his attack. Kaneki went to kick him, but Jason grabbed his leg. "I'm not letting you go!" Jason yelled as he tightened his grip on Kaneki.
"Kaori!" Kaneki called to me. "Right!" I called back. I dashed forward and grabbed onto his hand. With incredible strength, Kaneki swung me around, allowing me to kick Jason in this head. He went flying towards the wall, letting go of Kaneki.
I glanced down at his leg, seeing how it was twisted in an uncomfortable way. "That looks like it hurts. You think you can pull through?" I asked. He looked down at his ankle and it twisted back to the way it originally was.
"I'll be fine." Kaneki assured me. "Kaneki! Kaori!" Jason yelled as he transformed. "Let's shut this guy up once and for all." Kaneki said as he cracked his finger. "You took the words right out of my mouth." I replied.
Jason began attacking us while we dodged his attacks while blocking them. When Kaneki punched him, Jason retaliated by stabbing him in the chest with his kagune. It engulfed him whole and threw him towards a wall.
I quickly got behind Kaneki before he could make impact with the wall. "That was a close one." I said, setting Kaneki on his feet. "Let's give it everything we've got, Kaori." Kaneki said. "Spoken like a true ghoul." I replied as we activated our kagunes.
At the moment, both of us have Rize's kagune. But that's not going to last long. "Now... it's our turn." Kaneki said to Jason. We began to fight Jason, the two of us working together as we gave it our all. Jason screamed in pain when Kaneki broke through his kagune using his own.
We both leaped into the air, spreading our kagunes wide, before slamming them down on Jason. "Nice work." I praised Kaneki as we landed on our feet. "Let's finish this." Kaneki said as we walked towards Jason as he laid on his stomach.
I walked in front of Jason before stabbing his right hand with my kagune, making him cry out in pain. "Kaneki, care to give Jason one of your special lessons?" I suggested as I glanced at him. Kaneki glanced back at me before giving a nod.
"What's one thousand minus seven?" He asked Jason. He only glared at him, not answering the question.
"Kaori."
"Right."
I used my kagune to stab Jason's ankle, making him cry out agony. "Answer the question, Jason." I ordered. "What's one thousand minus seven?" Kaneki repeated. Jason, once again, didn't answer. This time, Kaneki used his kagune to stab Jason.
"I can keep this up all day. What's one thousand minus seven?" Kaneki repeated. Being the stubborn ghoul he is, Jason refused to answer the question as he gritted his teeth. I looked at Kaneki and nodded to him, in which he nodded back.
Kaneki stabbed Jason once more and he finally answered the question. "993... 986... 979... 972..." Jason said as he breathed heavily. "Kaori, I need your help with something." Kaneki mentioned. "What is it?" I asked as I used my kagune to go over to him.
He tapped the side of his head with his hand twice. "There's a centipede in my ear. Take it out for me." Kaneki instructed. I did as he said and my fingers reached into his ear. I pulled out the centipede he mentioned and tossed it aside.
"He's all yours." I told Kaneki while taking a few steps back. "You tried to eat me..." Kaneki said to Jason. "Then, you wouldn't mind... if I ate you." Kaneki said. He ate Jason's kagune, then got off him, leaving him there to bleed out.
"Kaneki." I said, in which he faced me. "I need you to do something for me." I mentioned. "Like what?" He asked. I walked over to him. Once I was directly in front of him, I turned around, moving some hair off my neck.
"I want you to eat me." I requested. "Eat you?" Kaneki repeated. "Just enough to get rid of Rize's kagune. I'd like to awaken my own kagune now. Besides, I still have things to do." I said. "Like what?" He asked.
"Well, for one thing, I'm leaving Aogiri. I have family back at home... who needs me." I said. "Touka's in danger. She needs our help." My other self informed. "Please, Kaneki. I need you to do this for me. Touka needs me." I said.
"Then, why don't we go to together? We'll both help her." Kaneki said. "That's fine. Just please, take Rize's kagune. You deserve it." I said. Kaneki was hesitant at first until he gently gripped the sides of my shoulders.
"Are you sure you wanna do this?" He asked as his chin rested on my shoulder, his head near my neck. "Yes, I'm sure. I know what I must do now. Everything became so clear when..." I trailed off as I debated to tell him about the other me inside me.
"You don't have to say any more, Kaori. If this is what you truly want, then I'll help you." Kaneki said. A ghost smile appeared on my face as I placed my hand over his. "Thank you, Kaneki." I said, softly.
Kaneki opened his mouth and gently bit down on my shoulder, taking a good chunk of my flesh. I grunted slightly as he continued to feed.
When he was done, he took a few steps back. I turned around while I placed a hand over my wound, facing him. Blood was smeared near the corner of his mouth as he looked at me with left eye glowing red.
I gently wiped the blood off his mouth with my thumb, looking into his eyes. "Let's go save Touka." Kaneki said. "Yeah." I agreed. We left the torture chamber, and headed to the roof to help our friend.
