The next morning, I woke up by Hide's side as we were both laying on his bed. And before you guys put dirty thoughts in your head, no, we didn't do it. We just slept in the same bed last night. smiled as I faced his peaceful, sleeping face before gently placing my hand on his cheek.
"Hide." I poked his nose, in which he scrunched up his face. I went to poke his cheek until he grabbed my hand and raised it to his face, gently kissing my palm. "Morning. Sleep well?" I asked. "I slept fine because I was with you." He said before kissing my cheek.
I smiled and pecked his lips before sitting up. Hide sat up as well and yawned before resting his head on my lap. I smiled and ran my fingers through his hair. "Come on, Hide. Get up. I have work." I said. "Aww... Just let me stay here like this a little bit longer." He whined.
"I'm gonna be late." I said. Hide sat up and grabbed both of my wrists before playing pinning me down to the bed. I laughed as I tried to sit up. "Com on, Hide. Knock it off. I'm serious, I'm gonna be late." I said as I tried to break free of his hold.
Hide laughed at my attempt of escaping before kissing me. I smiled in the kiss while wrapping my arms around his neck, kissing him back.
After that "scene", Hide walked me to Anteiku, dropping me off. I kissed his cheek before going inside. "Boo!" I gasped, startled, as Hinami appeared in front of me with a chicken head over her head. "Did I scare you?" She asked.
"Yeah, you got me a little." I said, smiling. "Where's Mr. Yoshimura?" I asked. "He had to step out for a bit." She said. That's strange. I wonder where he could've gone. "Hey, your hair's black again." Hinami noticed.
"Yeah... It is." I agreed with a small smile.
(Time skip)
The next few weeks were okay... at least until this world went to hell. Ghouls and humans were at war. No one knew what to do. The only things that were running through their minds were fighting and surviving. Everything was falling apart. How do you stop a war?
Is there any hope for ghouls and humans? Sometimes I wonder if it's possible if ghouls and humans could live together as one. But I know for a fact that will never happen. I was at Hide's house, taking a nap on the couch.
I felt his fingers run through my hair, making me open my eyes slightly. "Hide...?" I said, sleepily, closing my eyes again. "I'm gonna be stepping out for a bit. I'll be home a little while." He said in my ear. "Where... are you going?" I asked, trying to stay awake.
He kissed my head. "I won't be long." He said as I felt a blanket drape over my body. I felt sleep quickly taking over me as I began to doze off. But before I fell back to sleep, I heard Hide whisper, "I'm sorry."
A while later, I woke up as it was late. "Hide?" I called as I sat up. When I didn't hear a reply, I got up, heading into the kitchen. "Hide." I called again. I looked at the time. He left two hours ago. Why hasn't he returned yet?
Something's not right. I ran out of the house to search for him. "He's okay. He has to be okay." I said as I ran faster. I ran to my house to see if he was there to visit my Dad. He's been to my house a few times and I've already introduced him to Dad.
