"You guys did what?!" Touka asked. "We kissed..." I repeated as I blushed shyly.. "Serioously?! On the first date?!" She asked. "Yes! Quit making it such a big deal, Touka!" I yelled. "How is not a big deal?! It was your first kiss!" She said. "Not really. My first kiss was with Rize." I mumbled.
"You kissed Rize?!" Touka said, loudly. "Shh!" I shushed so she could lower her voice. "Let's just stop talking about it, okay? I'm going back to work." I said as I started sweeping the floor. The day went by faster than I expected.
I guess because we didn't have as many customers today. As I was wiping down the tables, I heard someone come in through the door. I turned around, spotting Hide. "Hey, Hide." I greeted. "Sup, Kaori?"He greeted back with a smile.
"Just working. What brings you by?" I asked. "Just getting something to eat." He said, taking a seat. "Would you like sandwiches and coffee today?" I asked. "You know me so well." Hide smiled. I blushed a bit with a soft smile before going to get his meal.
"Enjoy." I said, setting his meal down in front of him. "Thanks." He thanked, and began eating. I went back to work. As usual, once he was done eating, I cleared his table, washed the dishes, and went back to him so he could pay.
"Hey," I looked at him. "When you're off, can I talk to you?" He asked. "Sure." I said, giving a small nod. Once I was done with my shift, I said goodnight to Mr. Yoshimura and Touka before going outside where Hide waited.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." I apologized. "Don't worry about it." He said, smiling.
"So, what did you want to talk with me about?"
"Well... This is kind of embarrassing for me to say. I'm not even sure if I have the guts to say it."
"Say what? Hide, please tell me."
My eyes widened in surprise as he got down on one knee and gently held my hand. "Kaori Rikuto, will you go out with me?" He asked. My face immediately blushed red. "Kaori? Hello? Anybody in there?" Hide said, gently tapping my forehead.
"I'm sorry... I was just... caught off guard." I said, not expecting him to say those words. "So, is that a yes?" He asked. "Yes. I'll go out with you." I accepted. "Yes! Thank you!" Hide cheered. He picked me up and spun me around, making me laugh.
"She's my girlfriend!" He called to everyone, making me blush. "Hide, put me down!" I said, still laughing. He set me down and hugged me tightly as I hugged him back. "You're such a clown, Hide." I said, chuckling. "Yeah, but I'm your clown." He mentioned. "That's true." I agreed.
