Touka's POV
"Help me... Dad." I pleaded as I laid there in pain. "You are pathetic. Calling for Pop in a time like this. He's dead and gone, Touka!" Ayato yelled. I closed my eyes, knowing this was the end for me. I felt myself being picked up by someone.
When I didn't feel my brother's kagune attack me, I opened my eyes as I was in Kaneki's arms. "Kaneki..." I said, weakly. "This is all my fault. I'm sorry." He apologized. "You're such... an... idiot..." I said before blacking out.
Right before I blacked I could've swore I heard Kaori's voice. "This time, I'm going to keep my promises. I'm gonna make it up to you, Touka."
Kaori's POV
"Nishiki, look after Touka." I said as Kaneki placed her in his arms. "Are you all right?" He asked me as he took Touka. "Don't worry about me. Just get her to safety." I said. "The hell you think you're doing, Kaori?! Get out of the way! Or do you want me to kill your father?!" Ayato yelled at me.
"Your threats don't scare me anymore, Ayato. You don't scare me." I said. "We'll see about that!" Ayato said as he shot his kagune crystals at me. I stayed where I was as crystals lightly grazed me. "You're just gonna stand there like some idiot?!" He yelled.
"I won't let you harm my family ever again. I'm not going to kill you because you're Touka's one and only family. So, I'll go easy on you." I said. "You think that's supposed to scare me?!" Ayato shouted before running at me with kagune activated.
I leaped into the air, landing on an air duct. "Now... It's my turn to have a little fun." I said. I activated my kagune as I emotionlessly stared at Ayato.
"Rize's kagune... it's gone. What did you do?" Ayato demanded. "I don't think you wanna know. But I don't think you should be worried about my kagune right now. Look behind you." I said.
Ayato turned around as Kaneki stood there. He quickly grabbed Ayato by the shoulder and he kneed him in the gut. "You should've seen this coming a mile away." Kaneki said. "Damn... you!" Ayato growled.
Kaneki did a backflip while using his kagune and stood a few feet away from Ayato. "For protection, right? For what you hold most dear." Kaneki said. Ayato frowned as his hair covered his eyes. "You're strong, Ayato. You had every chance to kill me while I was down if you really wanted to." Kaneki said.
I narrowed my eyes as I figured it out. "What's someone like you so afraid of that's so desperate enough to side with the enemy?" I asked as I jumped down from the air duct, landing next to Kaneki. "You know nothing!" Ayato snapped.
Right when he snapped, a kagune nearly tried to crush Kaneki and I. "That's Noro's kagune." I mentioned. "We need to get out of here. This place is gonna collapse." I said to Kaneki as I deactivated my kagune. We went back over to Nisihiki and Touka and we got out of there.
As we were exiting the place, I glanced back at roof we were recently on. "Kaori, what are you doing?! Let's go!" Nishiki called. "There's one more thing I have to do. Go on without me." I said before taking off into the sky.
"Kaori!" Nishiki called. I headed back inside Aogiri. I went to my room and picked up my mask. "You're leaving?" I heard Eto ask. I turned my head as she stood by my door. "Don't try and stop me, Eto." I said.
"Why are you leaving?" She asked. "Because I don't want to stay here anymore. I'm going home. And if you try and stop me," I activated my kagune. "I won't hold back." I warned. "Pretty." Eto said, smiling behind the bandages.
"What?" I stared at her, confused. "Your kagune. It's no longer in Rize's, and it looks pretty." She mentioned. I frowned at her before deactivating my kagune. "Goodbye, Eto." I said, leaving the room. "We'll meet again, Big sister." I heard her say with a smirk.
I spun around and she was gone. I narrowed my eyes at where she recently stood, then left the room. "Long time no see, Kaori." Rize said as and image of her appeared in front of me. I frowned at her. "Get out of my head." I said, coldly.
I walked through her image, going forward. "Don't ever show yourself to me ever again. I never want to see you." I said. I walked off, returning to my family.
