The next day, Rize came by the house and took me to Anteiku. "Rize, what are we doing here?" I asked as we sat at a table. "My, you really do have a bad memory. I told I was gonna be by your side so you can get used to your new ghoul life." She explained with a smile.
"Can I take your order?" The waitress asked. I looked at her nametag and read Touka. "Actually, there's something I need to ask of you, Touka. Can we talk in the back?" Rize asked. Touka looked at her with confusion before taking us to the back.
Once we were there, Rize told Touka how she turned me into a ghoul. "Are you out of your mind, Rize?!" Touka yelled at her. "Nope, I'm pretty sane." Rize joked. "This isn't a joke, Rize! Why would you even turn him into a ghoul?!" Touka snapped.
"Okay, first of all, Kaori's a girl. Second, she was going to die if I hadn't done something. And come on. Look how cute she is." Rize cooed as she petted my head. I blushed and shyly looked at the floor. Touka sighed.
"I can't believe you did this." She said. "Well, there's nothing we can do about it now." Rize mentioned with a smile. Touka shook her head before looking at me. "Well, welcome to the family, Kaori. My name's Touka. Let me introduce you to some of the other ghouls here, but after my shift." Touka said.
"Other ghouls?" I repeated. "Just about everyone who works here is a ghoul." Rize explained. 'Didn't see that coming.' I thought.
After Touka's shift, she showed me around, introducing me to the people who worked here. And lastly, he introduced me to Mr. Yoshimura, the man who owned Anteiku. "It's nice to meet you, Kaori." He said with a smile. I smiled back. "It's nice to meet you, too, sir."
"You're pretty short for a young boy your age." Mr. Yoshimura said. "Uh, I'm actually a girl, sir." I said. "Oh, my apologies." He apologized with a nervous chuckle. "Why are you even dressed as a boy?" Touka asked.
"I don't like dresses or skirts. So, I dress like a boy to keep me from wearing those things." I explained. I have my reasons for dressing like a boy, but I don't want to talk about it right now.
When Anteiku closed, I was feeling hungry and needed flesh. I was in the restroom as I saw my eyes were red. "As I thought, you're a binge eater. You can't control your hunger," I gasped and turned around. "Rize, you scared me." I mentioned.
"You're pretty cute when you get scared." Rize commented. "What are you doing here?" I asked, changing the subject. "I wanted to ask you something." She said.
"What about?"
"Your kagune."
"My kagune?"
"Yeah, what's your kagune like?"
"Uh... What's a kagune?"
Rize looked at me, then gave a small laugh. "Oh, my little ghoul. You have a lot to learn." Rize said. "Huh?" I asked, confused. "We'll talk more about that later. But right now, I'm gonna teach you how to control that hunger of yours." She explained.
"How?" I asked. "Follow me."
Rize led me into the public. "What are we doing out here?" I asked. "Do you see anyone that interests you? Or anyone that interest your hunger?" Rize asked with a smirk. "That's why you brought me up here?! So I could feed on someone?!" I asked, panicked.
"Calm down, my little ghoul. I didn't bring you out here because of that. Like I said in the restroom; I'm going to help you control your hunger. Whenever you're in public like this and you can't seem to get a handle on your hunger, just don't think about flesh." She explained.
"Easier said than done." I mumbled. "Just try." Rize said. I sighed and looked around as people walked past us. But when I look at them, all I could think about is flesh, how much I want to get my hands on the humans and just eat them.
My eyes widened as I felt them change from green to red while my mouth began to water. I quickly covered my eyes and taking a couple steps back. "I can't! I can't do it!" I said. "Kaori, calm down." Rize said as she placed her hands on my shoulders from behind.
"I can't!" I repeated. Rize quickly took my hand and lead me into an alley. "I told you, I can't do it! It's too hard! All I want to do is eat when I look at them! I can't do it! I don't wanna do this anymore!" I yelled.
I closed my eyes tightly, forcing myself to calm down and to get my eyes to turn back to green. "Kaori, look at me." Rize commanded. "I can't." I said. "Look at me!" She ordered. I reluctantly looked at her. When I did, she took the sides of my face in her hands and gently pressed her lips against mine.
My eyes widened. Why is she doing this? Why is she kissing me? But I don't think I was hating it because I slowly began to kiss back. I felt her tongue go in my mouth, making me moan slightly as I placed my hands over hers.
After a few more moments of kissing me, she disengaged our mouths as a string of saliva connected us. I looked at her with a blush.
"You're so cute. I'm not sure which makes you prettier. Your red eyes or your green eyes. Well, either way, they both make you pretty, and cute." Rize said. She hugged me as my chin rested on her shoulder. "Oh, what will you do without me?" She said.
I glanced at her before looking up at the sky. It was dark as the stars twinkled. "I... don't know." I replied, quietly.
