Chapter 8

(Pane's POV)

The sound of hacking, along with a yelp of pure pain woke me up.

Blood seeped through my shirt and dried between the cracks of the tile floor. I was still on the ground, my body now numb as my back is stiff.

Turning my head slightly, I saw Fang's body convulse as he hacked up blood. Tears filled my eyes as I reached out my good hand to my last, living family member.

Aidan was staring down at me with despair, guilt , concern and inner turmoil.

I glanced back at Fang with a shaky frown on my dry, chapped lips. The rejection of my blood entering his body, was preventing him from shifting out of wolf form.

Whimpering, he limped over to me, swaying from left to right, slightly as he whined in sadness. Biting me accidentally, not only physically harmed him. It also abused his mental state, causing his emotions to intensify.

To simplify it in wolf terms, it is like a omega attacking a alpha. The omegas would be left, shamed, guilty, sadness,self-hatred and sometimes even fear.

Sometimes I find it hilarious how I'm lying on the ground, bleeding out with no one to help me.

As my shoulder numbed, I sat up, wincing slightly. I slammed Fang's body into a hug, biting my lip in pain as his muzzle, dug into my wounded shoulder.

"It's not your fault." I ground out, with my eyes closed tightly.

Fang was quiet as he gently broke our embrace, standing in front of me, protectively. A deep growl, escaped his mouth as he glared at Aidan.

Aidan's body shook slightly as he tried to rein in his wolf and ignore the obvious challenge of dominance.

I stared at my bare hands as I felt the overwhelming need to wrap my arms around him and soothe him.

Despite, this being his fault.

Oh well,I thought bitterly.I have to be able to touch him first.

Hastily, I yanked on my leather gloves, coated in blood. I stood up with very limited movements.

Avoiding his guilt filled gaze, I motioned for Fang to get his chains back on, before finally meeting his eyes.

"Pa-"

I arubtly cut him off with a cold look,

" Inform William to find someone to clean this up and make sure he brings along a blood bag for healing purposes. "

Holding in a sigh, I left the secret room.

Looks like I have to go back into the metal room after all.
