jungkook: [screams]
jin: who was that? are you okay?
taehyung: is that you jungkook?
jungkook: [panting heavily] yeah... holy shit...
hoseok: what happened?
jungkook: i almost fell. there's this huge chasm that i almost toppled into.
namjoon: chasm?
jungkook: yeah. i was walking along the wall like you told me to and then suddenly, as i was about to take another step, i realized that there was nothing underneath my foot and i almost lost my balance.
jimin: suddenly i really don't want to be walking around anymore. what if i fall into that pit thing?
namjoon: it's okay jimin, just walk slowly and be careful.
jin: what is a pit doing in the middle of a dungeon?
namjoon: jungkook, do you have anything nearby with you? like a rock or something?
jungkook: no... wait, i have an idea.
namjoon: what?
jungkook: okay, i have a rock now. i broke a piece off from the edge of the pit.
namjoon: good. be careful, though. if the rock is really that crumbly, then you'll want to make sure you don't fall.
jungkook: okay, what do i do now?
namjoon: throw the rock over the edge of the chasm and listen to see how long it takes for it to reach the bottom. we should know if it's just a little, harmless indent in the floor, or if it's deep enough to kill us if we were to fall into it.
yoongi: aish, fun thoughts, guys.
jungkook: okay, i'm throwing it now.
[slight reverberations echo throughout the room]
[then, a faint splash, followed by more echoes]
jungkook: i think it just fell into water or something.
namjoon: it took about five seconds to hit the water at the bottom. that means that the bottom is quite far from the elevation we're at right now.
yoongi: great. that means that we've got a certain death drop right in our backyard.
jungkook: [coughs] ugh, it smells terrible too.
namjoon: what does it smell like?
jungkook: i dunno... it smells really bad though. like rot or decay or something.
namjoon: alright, everyone needs to be really careful when they're walking around now. we should probably crawl instead of walk, i guess, so that we can feel the ground in front of us before we step.
jimin: i just reached the other corner again!
namjoon: okay, how many steps?
yoongi: please say you didn't forget this time.
jimin: i didn't yoongi, but thanks for the confidence. it took about 38 steps.
yoongi: don't talk to me like that, you little--
namjoon: alright, yoongi, shut up. and jimin, that means that the length of our dungeon is probably around 38 feet.
jin: that's a lot.
hoseok: is anyone else feeling really tired?
jimin: i am.
jungkook: [yawns] i kind of am too.
namjoon: same here.
yoongi: i mean, i'm always tired, but i guess i'm feeling more tired now than usual.
jin: [yawns] aish, i think i'm falling asleep.
yoongi: me too.
[soft snoring]
namjoon: did they fall asleep?
jimin: i think [yawns] so...
namjoon: okay, who's still awake?
hoseok: i... [yawns]
taehyung: i am!
jungkook: i'm still awake.
taehyung: hoseok and namjoon just fell asleep i think.
jungkook: why are they falling asleep all of a sudden?
jimin: i dunno--
jungkook: jimin?
taehyung: i think jimin fell asleep too.
jungkook: i guess it's just you and me taehyung.
taehyung: yeah, i think so. don't worry, jungkook, i'll--
[silence, soft snoring]
jungkook: taehyung? did you fall asleep too!?
