- Monday morning -

Tyler's alarm clock jolted him out of his uneasy sleep. Ugh, Tyler thought. Another day in hell.

He dragged himself out of the bed and to the shower. The hot water startled Tyler enough to where he was now fully awake. He took a quick shower and brushed his teeth. He then went to his closet and pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans and a loose black tank top. His mother called him emo for dressing like he did, but like he always said: Black goes with black, which also goes with black. And so what if he was emo? Emos have fun. Sometimes.

He trudged down the stairs after a few minute and gave a quick 'good morning' to his mother. He crossed his fingers and hoped his dad was already gone to work. Lucky for Tyler, he had. Tyler hopped out of the door and stood by the sidewalk waiting for the bus. He caught a glimpse of a familiar figure walking out of the Dun household, and he could swear his stomach flipped. For some reason. He sat with his eyes straight ahead and waited patiently for the bus to FREAKING ARRIVE WHY WOULDN'T IT SHOW UP GOSH DARN IT HE SAT DOWN-

"Hey Tyler."

"H-hey J-jo-osh." Tyler mentally face-palmed.

"Are you okay?"

"Yep. T-totally fine." Why couldn't he just be normal?

"Alright then."

They sat and waited on the bus in silence. When it finally showed up, Tyler almost tripped over himself trying to get on. He rushed to the back and sat by Patrick.

"Hey Pat." Tyler panted.

"Are you good?" Patrick asked, turning to Tyler. Patrick and Tyler had been friends since they were little. Patrick was very kind and had a huge heart.

"Yeah. I'm fine. I'll explain later." Patrick gave a knowing nod.

Tyler saw Josh get on and sit near the front, by a boy named Brendon. Tyler knew Brendon was quite vulgar, but he could be wise and insightful at times. Rare times, but it was possible. (a/n - BUT WAS IT PLAUSIBLE?!)

When Tyler got to school, he walked to his locker and threw his bag in. He grabbed the books he would need for first period and slammed it. It was going to be a long day.
