"Mom! Where are the napkins?!"

Tyler was setting the table for dinner. But not just dinner. To him, it was the dinner.

"In the drawer next to the silverware, darling!" His mom yelled from her room.

"'Kay!" Tyler went into the kitchen and grabbed the napkins. He placed them carefully at each place at the table. And there were a lot. At dinner, it was going to be quite a lot of people: Tyler, His mom, Josh, Ashley, Mama Dun, Zack, Jordan, Abbie, Madison, and Jay. This one going to be one wild ride.

About an hour later, the doorbell rang. Tyler ran and opened it, making sure to straighten his tie.

Josh was standing there with his family behind him. He had on a white dress shirt and a blue tie. His faded pink hair looked like someone made an attempt to tame it, but to no avail. He looked... perfect. At least, in Tyler's opinion.

"Come in." Tyler mustered, after staring at Josh, probably for way too long.

The families sat down at the table, and light banter went around the room. No one mentioned the fact that Tyler and Josh were holding hands under the table, or maybe they just didn't notice.

"Everyone." Mrs. Joseph quieted everyone down. "I propose a toast. To happiness. Tyler's, Josh's, and all of ours. To happiness."

"To happiness," everyone said, and all of the glasses clinked. The rest of the night was calm, just as Tyler had wanted. In Tyler's mind, the night had been perfect.

Absolutely perfect.
