Josh had texted Tyler sixteen times. Where was he?
"Hey, Ash?" Josh asked as he was coming down the stairs.
"Yeah?" She yelled from the kitchen.
"Have you heard from Ty? He hasn't answered any of my texts." He checked his phone once more. Nothing.
"Don't be so paranoid. Tyler has period where he won't talk to anyone. It'll be fine."
Josh wasn't so sure about that. He pulled out his phone once more to check his messages when he saw something that made his blood run cold.
one new message from: Ty ♥️
Ty ♥️: I've got the boy now. Fairy boys need to be taught lessons. You won't be seeing him again soon.
Fairy Boy. That's what Tyler said that his dad had called him.
"Ash, I know where Tyler is." Josh said sadly.
"Well, where is he?" Ashley said, still cheery and unaware.
"He's with his dad."
Ashley's face fell. Josh knew that Tyler had confessed to her about the abuse, and that is he was with his dad, he wasn't okay.
"We have to go get him." Ashley commanded, a dangerous look in her eye. She had to protect Tyler.
"We don't know where they are." Josh said, sitting down on the couch in defeat.
Ashley grabbed her keys off of the hook. "Well, we're about to."
•••
When they opened the door to Tyler's house, the scent of booze was still lingering. Josh's face contorted into one of disgust. Ashley picked something up off of the ground.
"What's that?" Josh walked over to Ashley to inspect the paper.
"It's a receipt for the Movely hotel downtown. We can get him."
Josh felt a glimmer of hope. "Well then. Let's go."
