We arrived at the restaurant and sat down. "You look beautiful April" August complimented. "Thank you and you look handsome" I smiled. "We gotta talk though ma" august sighed. "What is it august I'm really not in the mood for no bad ass news?" I face palmed myself . "Naah it ain't nun really bad but you gotta marry me "he said. "What hell naah we not even dating let alone together" I protested. He smacked his lips "we ain't gone be married forreal it's just a piece of paper but in order for June to be next in line we gotta be married" he explained." Hell no that's exactly what I don't want him to be" I folded my arms. "April that makes him safer and it's happening if you like it or not I ain't even asking you the fuck "he said annoyed." He's not august "l said angrily ." Whatever we gone see "he said. I got up and walked away angrily. I hated his ass. I waited in the car for him.

1 week later

I sat on the computer looking for a good teaching job. I was also thinking about the whole fake marriage thing with august because he constantly reminded me that I didn't have a choice when I brought it up. I slapped the shit out of him but that ain't really work. I decided to just fake marry him to keep June safe. I put got off the computer and texted august to come here. June went out with Chris for ice cream. I wore a white silk robe my hair starting to get back curly. I tied it up in a messy bun and I wore my bunny house shoes. August came into the room. "Wassup" he asked flopping on my bed. I got up and stood in front of him. "I will marry you but we gotta lay down a few rules "I said. "What ?"he asked about to get annoyed I already could tell. "First of all we June and I don't need a guard everytime we leave the house" I said. "Alright but not now when I know ain't nobody trynna kill him then we can talk about that but not now it's to big of a risk" he explained. "And last but not least you gotta stay faithful you can't have sex with anybody outside of our marriage is not about to have people laughing at me cause my husband fuck any hoe he want "I folded my arms. He smacked his lips. "Alright man whatever bet "he said getting up. "And you better not cheat cause if you do I'm divorcing your sorry ass and taking June" I said leaving out the room. I kinda wished the marriage wasn't fake because no doubt I still loved august with all my heart but I guess he didn't care anymore. So I will play along.

Nightfall

I walked around the house looking for August and June I opened a door that seemed to be august room I knew cause his picture was painted on the wall. What I saw made my heart warm. August was laying on his back on the bed and June laid on his chest. I smiled pulling a cover over them. June's 2nd birthday was coming up and I always went all and out for my son. Because like I said he deserved the world. So innocent so little so wonderful so full of life. I turned out the lights and went back to my room. I got on the computer looking for places to throw his party. Then I thought why not here in the backyard. Last time we went to chunky cheese. I looked for a moon walk water slide and a bunch of other activities I thought kids would like. June didn't have any friends yet but I could invite other kids. Ages 1 to 6 . I eventually just fell asleep.
