Chapter 14

Kiera's POV:

I slowly opened my eyes. Everything was blurry. It took about 5 minutes and a lot of blinking to get them to adjust to the light.

"Mommy?"

It felt weird being called mommy considering I'm only 16. So I was still getting use to it.

I tried lifting my head up slowly, but I couldn't. My whole body ached. My head ached the most though. I had a throbbing headache.

I then saw a little figure come stand in front of my face by the side of the bed.

"Are you okay mommy?"

Anna was so sweet. I couldn't pull a smile though. I just groaned a little.

Anna got on her tippy toes and leaned over the bed and kissed my check.

"I wuv you mommy."

I just closed my eyes until I heard Anna whisper.

"Shh mommy's tired."

I heard a chuckle so I opened my eyes. I squinted them again because everything was a blur.

My eyes eventually cleared up and I saw Alfredo and Alex.

They saw my eyes were open and they walked over to me.

Alfredo came over to me and put one of his hands behind my back and slowly pushed me up to make me sit up.

I groaned in pain and frustration.

"Kiera we know you don't want to sit up, but you have been out for 2 days now. You need to eat and drink."

I looked over at Alex who was holding a glass of water.

I took it and began to drink the cold water. It tasted to good.

I stopped drinking and handed the glass back to Alex. I threw my hand over my mouth and threw the blankets off of me.

I stumbled to the bathroom using the walls to help me stand up.

I went over to the toilet and started throwing up.

Alex ran in there as started helping me by rubbing my back and holding my hair.

I couldn't keep anything down. I was just to nauseated.

When I got done I sat there leaning against the wall.

Alex kneeled down next to me. I was so weak.

"Come one Kiera let's get you back in bed."

He grabbed my hand I started to slowly stand up.

I was stumbling over my own feet as I walked. My head was just spinning.

Alex set me on the bed. I was sitting on the edge of the bed with my legs hanging off the side.

Anna came over and sat by me. She leaned her head against my arm.

"Okay Kiera let me check your cut on your head."

I just looked at Alfredo as he took my bandage off.

"It's looking really good. I'm keeping the bandage off to let it get some air."

We were sitting there as Alfredo examined my side.

"Who needs Greg when you've got me?" Alfredo said this with confidence.

I smiled and Alex chuckled.

"What?" Alfredo whined.

"I went ahead and called Greg. He should be here any minute, but yes Alfredo you have done a great job with Kiera."
