I put on my shoes, as I'm preparing myself to leave.
I open the window, but I suddenly hear a loud noise of glass being broken.
He noticed me...!
I tried to put my leg on the railing, but I'm too small.
I heard loud footsteps coming closer, and my feet are working harder to work it's way out of here.
P-please...! Just a little bit!
Luckily, I could climb out in time. I quickly closed the door of outside. Before I could run away though, the door to my room opened with a loud bang.
I crouched on the ground under the window.
My father....
"Where did she go?!"
I hear footsteps coming in my way.
I'm scared!!
My heart is beating so loudly I thought it might stop.
I thought it was over the moment I heared him punch the window, but he moves away again.
My vision became blurr, I think I might faint any second.
But I stood up and head to my location.
I want to meet the person, who might give a chance to live a normal life.
I'm fed up of them. Although it seems I'm not there at all, they would beat me up like a mosquito.
Please...
I silently prayed in my tiny broken heart, what was only filled with hatred, and pain.

I arrived at the hospital.

The door opens and a strong fragrance of disinfectant spray fills my nose, making me feel dizzy. As I keep on passing all the doctors and nurses, a few of them stared at me confused.
A kind looking nurse crouched down to speak with me, and I tense up, feeling scared.
She asks,
"

Who are you little child? Are you lost?"
She looks at me from different angles.
"You have bruises, are you a patient?"
I tremble, but stayed calm to be polite.
"I-I'm searching for my grandfather, Kunihiko Tachibana. Could you please tell me where I can find him?"
I bow as I asked.
She looks surprised, for a moment, but soon breaks into a smile.
"You must be Yuuki...! Kunihiko told me about you! Of course, this way please."
'Yuuki'...?
I look confused at her back as I follow her.
Yuuki...Is that my name? No one ever called me by anything else than 'you', so I'm not sure.
But I don't know why...It actually feels like it is my name...
I started to feel calm when the nurse calls out to me again.
"Here it is, can I leave you alone? Or do you need anything else?"
She smiles. It's a smile no one has ever shown me.
My heart pounds hardly, and I quickly shake my head.
"N-no...! U-um, thank you very much..."
I bow as deep as I could. Although I feel nervous, I couldn't help feeling very excited.
She giggles.
"Now, now! Go in!
My eyes sparkle, and I excitedly nod.
When she left me, I slowly knock at the door.
"Please come in."
I heard the voice of an old man. Bit not just any old man, no, my grandfather!
Although I never met him, his voice seems familiar. Nice, gentle, like I never heard before.
I quickly turned the door knob, and popped my head in the room.
Two chairs with one table, right next to the bed stands a machine with a rhythm 'beeb' sound, and next to the door stands a closet. That's everything I could see in this room. Although th room seems small and grey, it looks like paradise for me. Especially with him in the room.
He looks at me, seeming definetly surprised to see a little girl like me.
I enter the room, standing in the mid2dle of the room beside his bed.
He puts on his thick glasses to get a better look. He looks me surprised.
"Oh, who are you....?"
At first, he looks like he has no clue who I am.
I remain silent, when he suddenly murmurs, more to himself than to me. His expression rather sad.
"It's weird... you remind me a little of my son. But it's been years, since I last met him, so I can't tell for sure.."
He avoids his gaze a little.
"Since my little granddaughter was born..."
He looks really sad, but quickly puts on a smile.
"I'm sorry, I was lost in... Huh? What's wrong little girl..?"
I was already hiding my face, and sobbing really hard, when he tried to go on.
I sobbed uncontrollably, and am squeezing out my words, before crouching down in front of him.
"Gr-grand...pa....!!!"
I couldn't see him well because of my tears, but I could hear him holding his breath.
"....Yuu...ki.. Is that you..?"
I couldn't urge a word out, so I'm only nodding numerous of times.
I'm trying to wipe off my tears, and could see him crying himself.
Without saying a word, he spreads out both of his arms, wating for me to jump in his arms.
Before realizing anything, I'm already running, tears are straming down my cheeks.
Finally arriving in his arms, we spend moments of just crying in each others arms.
After countless of sobbings, I squeeze out the word 'grandpa' out. One, two, five times. I couldn't stop. He affectionately strokes my hair.
This is the first time, somebody embraced me out of love...
"Now tell me dear... Why are you here? How do you know I exist?"
He cups my cheeks with both hands, and I placed my hand on his.
Still sobbing a little bit, I answer him.
"I heard from my parents.."
He looks surprised by my words.
"Kaname and Yui did...? But...why?"
He asks.
I tremble, remembering the words I heard from my parents.
He supportingly strokes my hair, I slowly calmed down again.
"They...they faught, discussing how to get rid of me...."
Tears are once again forming in my eyes, and are streaming down my cheeks.
"Yuuki..."
His sad smile tells me he knows exactly how I feel. My expression is rather emotionless than sad. And I went on.
"Grandpa...When mama and papa are going to leave me, will you stay by my side...? You won't leave me, right...?!"
Grandpa closes his eyes anf shakes his head.
"I would never leave you alone. Never."
My eyes sparkle, my vision blurr of my tears.
"R-really?? Then it's a promise, right...?"
Normally I wouldn't give my hopes up for these kind of things...but I can't help being selfish.
My grandpa nods.
"Of course. It's a promise."
He takes my hand in his and squeezes it.
For the first time in forever, I smiled.
"..Yes!"
I squeezed his hand in return, and smiled brightly.

As I spend my time with my grandfather, I could feel sweet tingle in my heart. I ask myself, if that's the feeling 'happiness', I never felt before.

Never--
