After Nao and I ate lunch together, we actually got closer.
We make lunch boxes for each other, we go to school together, and when we're leaving at the same time, we walk home together.

I'm at school, and eat the lunch box Nao made for me at my regular lunch spot.
He cooks surprisingly well.
I praise his cooking skills in my mind, as I quietly eat my onigiris.
"Morning Tachibana."
Mr. Kogami greets me, and is walking towards me.
I greeted him back, and he sats himself next to me on the bench.
Strange, I got the feeling we didn't speake together for a while....
"Strange, we didn't talk for quite a while, right?"
He murmurs.
Surprised by our same thoughts I looked up at him.
He looks back at me, and laughs.
"Haha, why the surprised face? By the way, you got a rice corn on your face."
He points at my face.
I quickly touched my face, blushing.
He laughs even louder.
"Not there. On the other cheek!
Wait..."
He moves his face close to mine, and I couldn't avoid his gaze.
He touched my cheek with his big hand.
"There you go."
He said after rubbing his thumb on the corner of my mouth.
I thought he would remove his hand, but he doesn't.
For moments we are only staring at each other.
I'm nervous, but I can't help to look at his handsome face.
His eyelashes are so long, it's beautiful...
Our faces are only inches away from mine.
Wait...
Finally coming to my senses, I moved away.
"T-thank you.."
Seeming to realize what just happened, he helplessly strached his head, and says.
"Yeah..."
We avoided eye contact for a while.
Calm down me! It was nothing, right? Right..
I once again brought my onigiri to my mouth.
As if to ease the mood, he says.
"Oh, you eat onigiris today...?"
I hastily joined his plan, and say.
"Oh, yes. Do you want one? I don't think I can eat them all either.."
I hold up one.
"Oh, thank you."
I may have looked surprised because Mr. Kogami is looking at me confused.
"What's wrong?"
I gasped and quickly shook my head.
"N-no, it's nothing. I'm only a little surprised because you don't accept the food of the other girls."
I look to the side, when I say that.
Mr. Kogami looks at me, his eyes wide open. But he quietly closes his eyes and is sighing, understanding what I say.
"Ah, I see. So you noticed.
"Well the thing is, I actually really can't accept food or gifts of students. But..."
He clears his throat, before going on.
"Well, your food seems especially delicious, and I guess it's okay once in a while."
He smiles.
I somehow couln't help, being a little bit happy.
But that's the food Nao made...!
He took one bite, and his eyes sparkle.
He looks like a child, it's actually really cute..
But I keep my thoughts, and the fact that Nao made this food to myself, and began to eat my food again.
"Oh, by the way..."
Mr. Kogami starts, while chewing his onigiri.
"You seem to have a new friend. I see you coming to school with a boy."
Oh, now that he means Nao? Well he is more like a brother to me, since we know each other for years, but now that he is saying this now...
I nod and say.
"Ah, you mean Nao? Yes, we're living in the same house."
He nods out of understanding.
"Oh yeah... I heard you live in a orphanage."
He says.
I can feel, that he's choosing his words carefully, but he actually  doesn't have to, so I casually nod.
"Yea, that's right."
He seems to relax by my calm response.
"Do you like it there?"
He asks, it seems he takes this chance to ask me about my life.
"Well, it's lively, and sometimes it really annoys me..."
A little embarrassed, I remove a strink behind my ear, and go on.
"I know it doesn't seem like it, but most of the time I enjoy being with them. Their carefree smiles, although of their grave past, calling the others 'Big bro', or 'big sis', although they're no relatives, making me feel like having a family, and makes it easy to forget my past."
I wish I could change. So that they would also think of me as 'family'.
Just why is it so hard to do so...
When I confessed my feelings, my eyes are filling themselves with tears.
"Wh-! Tachibana!"
He's got a surprised, but also worried voice.
I looked at him, my tears stopped immedately.

"What?"He looked even more surprised when I spoke nonchalant

"What?"
He looked even more surprised when I spoke nonchalant.
"Oh, sorry, I thought you cried.."
He apologized.
I frowned, and lie.
"Don't be silly. I never cry."

He seemed hurt by my first words.
"Hey... you know I'm your teacher, show a little respect, would you?"

We enjoyed our time together till the end of lunch break.
