*Niall's POV*

"Five minutes until we're live. Understood? Five minutes." the words rang in my ears, through my earpiece. I bent down to adjust my trusty old high-tops to distract me.

Okay, so I still get a little nervous about these things. I feel like I'm being judged. Which I know is stupid, because being famous and all now, we get judged constantly, but it's more vulnerable in an interview.

No lyrics to hide behind.

"Hey bud" It was Liam. He never failed to give me some confidence before these things. "Just listen, and answer the truth remember? You're up there with us, you're brothers. We'll protect you"

"YOU! YOU'VE BEEN REPLACED BY CHEESE STRING MAN!" I screamed at him. He looked extremely confused.

"That was cheesier than normal, dude. But thanks" And, speaking of cheese, my stomach decided to chip in to the conversation.

"Thirty seconds!" the stressed producers interrupted and ushered us to an extremely big, red sofa.

Breathe. Breathe.

Breathe.

*Hane's POV*

Two minutes to six. The popcorn dinged in the microwave. My big glass of smoothie ready, with a straw. The announcer was just starting to speak when I settled in front of the TV, ready for a glimpse of my boys. It's funny, actually, all of us on the fanbase - or "Directioners" as we preferred to be known as, didn't actually know them. Yet we still talked about them like we knew them. Because we wished we did.

So badly.

And there they were, looking as stunning as ever. They were smiling and laughing as they were introduced. Relaxed. Apart from Niall, he seemed to be slightly nervous. I mean, wouldn't you bring on prime time national tv for the country you started in?

I certainly would be.

It was all the average questions to begin with, of course, but still the boys replied politely and happily, as if it were the first time they'd been asked them. Then the interviewer started to go deep.

"So, what about relationship status' then? I can't imagine such handsome boys as you not having girlfriends.." she trailed off. 'Ugh. Desperate much? Please, they're half your age' I thought to myself.

Nevertheless the boys ignored this, if they did even notice it. "Taken by my gorgeous girlfriend Danielle" Liam immediately piped up. Of course. They were the cutest couple ever. "As am I. Taken, I mean. Not with Dani, not saying she isn't gorgeous... Argh!" The audience were in stitches. I was in stitches; the boys were in stitches.

Even creepy-pervert-twicetheirage-host was laughing at Louis.

"Let me rephrase that - I am with my beautiful El" he grinned sheepishly.

"I'm single" Harry chimed in, winking at the camera. Flirty boy. As always. Zayn classed his status as 'it's complicated'. Riiiight. Every girls going to believe that. Most likely friends with benefits? A LOT of benefits, I'd say. Don't get me wrong, I loved Zayn being in the band, just didn't approve of this certain habit of his.

It was just a certain Irishman left. "Em I'm waiting for someone special to come along" he grinned nervously. My heart rejoiced.

A girl can hope, right?
