Ace smiled at the sun shine and Jemma looped her arm wih his.
"Well" she smiled, "show me around Mr.C.A" she said.
"Oh babe i know every inch of this beach".
Dean had somehow convinced his parent s to let him go to California for a 4 day weekend as long as Jemma was there. He showed her around then called his old friends.
"Ayeee Ace!" his friend Nick yelled from the water.
"Isn't it cold?" Jemma asked, "it's winter"
"Jemma" Ace laughed, "It's California, the water doesn't get cold"
"That your girly friend?" Nick called, "She's hot"
"Shuddup Nick" Ace shook his head but laughed.
"Aye i just speak the truth man" his friend said.
"I'm well aware" Ace sighed and jemma blushed.
"Ace!" i girl with long brown locks ran up in daisy dukes and a bikini top.
Ace gulped as her tan body filled his mind with dirty thoughts.
"Hey Lill" he smiled, "This is Jemma"
"Hello" Jemma smiled.
"Well lets get you a swim suit and let the boys catch up" Lill pulled Jemma away from Ace.
When the girls returned Jemma was shyly covering her body with a big sweat shirt. Ace smiled and pulled her into the waves. She squealed and Ace tore off the sweatshirt throwing it on the beach behind them.
"Nice throe" she joked.
"I played baseball i should have a good throw" Ace winked.

Ace lay in his bed in the hotel room watching T.V. His phone rung and he answered it.
"Hey mom" he said.
"You. Home. Now" she said not giving her son the warm hello he was hoping for.
"Mom we just got here" he complained.
"And now you're coming back" she huffed.
"Whyyyy" he whined.
"Just get your ass home without questions" she snapped then hung up huffing and running her fingers through her hair out of annoyance.
Ace huffed the sound identical to his mothers and get up from the insanely comfortable hotel bed. He knocked on Jemma's door and she opened it. His breath caught at the girl in little gym shorts and a tank top. Her hair was up in a messy bun and her make-up was completely gone.
Ace was stunned at how lovely the sight was.
"What?" She cocked her head to the side.
"We have to go home" he said blankly.
"Why?" she asked.
"I don't know, my mom just wants us home...."
"Do you think something could have happened to someone?" she let him into her room and started stuffing things in bags.
The dots connect for both of them.
"Dean must be home!" they yelled in unison.
They both frantically packed and ran out of the hotel. They caught the express train back home. It was day when they got back to the dreary town and it was drizzling. They walked to Ace's house.
"How do thing he looks?" Jemma asked suddenly petrified of seeing her cousin.
"Screw how he looks, how do you think he's holding up? i've heard that when someone comes back from war they're pretty messed up" Ace commented.
"More messed up than when he left?" Jemma asked.
"I don't know" Ace pushed open the door to his house carefully, "Maybe"
His eyes widened when he looked inside. There. Sitting at his dining table was Dean, or what he though was Dean. There was white bandages around his head shagging his jet black hair. His arm was wrapped up to the finger tips and there was a scar cutting his eye brow in two. His entire chest was wrapped up and the tank top he wore didn't do a good job at hiding the new scar sliding across his shoulder.
Dean didn't look up, he just kept his head down and eyes focusing on one spot on the floor. A wind blew in from the still open window and his dog tags clanked against each other.
"D-Dean..." Ace was finally able to utter out.
Dean slowly raised his head and looked at the two standing in the doorway.
The bandages on his head reached over one of his eyes and the one that wasn't covered was filled with agony.
Dean gave a faint smile as Jemma charged forward. Dean stood up just in time to hug jemma. He pushed the pain away and hugged her tightly. Jemma broke into tears as Ace still stood frozen to the spot with his mouth wide open.
"Jemma your mom had to go out of town for a few days so you and Dean will be staying here for a while." Ace's mother said.
"No!" Dean's head snapped up and he looked Elle dead in the eyes then lowered his eyes, "I mean, i wouldn't want to be a burden"
"Dean" Elle giggled but Ace pulled her into the kitchen glaring.
"Mom he doesn't want to stay here, can't you see that?" Ace whispered harshly.
"What do you mean?" Elle asked clueless.
"His whole family was murdered in this house" Ace shook his head, "this is not the place he wants to spend after coming home from WAR"
"Then what do you suggest?" she put her hands on her hips and cocked her head to the side.
"They stay at their home"
"alone? Dean needs medical care every day Ace he can't be alone"
"The let me go with them" He said "Dad's a Doctor, i know what to do, i used to hang out at the hospital all the time"
Elle pursed her lips thinking.
"It would be more comfortable for Dean" Ace gave one last argument.
"Ok" Elle gave into her son's puppy dog eyes.
"Sweet" Ace smiled then hugged her.
They walked back into the dining room to see Jemma scanning over Dean's broken and bruised body.
"Dean you're going home" Ace said.
Dean gave him a soft thankful smile then stood up.
"Call me if anything goes wrong" Elle called out after them.
Ace ignored his mother as they walked out of the old house. They walked to the big house a few blocks away and jemma opened the door for Dean. He nodded politely and walked in heading to his room right away.
Jemma pulled Ace to the said with a worried look.
"What?" Ace whispered.
"He messed up" she hissed.
"He just came home from war, Jemma, he's not gonna be all peaches and cream" Ace snickered.
"go check on him" Jemma sighed, "I'm gonna go make dinner".
Ace nodded and climbed the stairs to Dean's bedroom. The door was slightly open and Ace could see dean sitting on the bed with his hand on his neck. Dean's fingers began to move, clawing at his skin. Ace's eyes widened when blood dripped down Dean's neck and his fingers continued to claw at the bleeding flesh.
Ace swung the door open but Dean kept his hand destroying the soft flesh of his skin. Ace wrapped his hand around the one covered in blood and Dean still didn't make a move.
"I can still feel them" Dean said.
"Feel who?"
"All the eyes of the people i killed" Dean said.
Ace felt compelled to do something so he placed his hand over the bleeding wounds and cupped Dean's face making him look at Ace.
"You're home now" Ace whispered and slowly pressed his lips to Dean's.
