When I woke up I was laying down on mt bed in my room again. It was like I had never "died".
woah! if this is what death is like, maybe I do want to live forever.
I knew some people talked about a nice afterlife. You know, Heaven and all. I'm not saying that I don't believe in that, but after my recent experience, it's going to be a lot harder.
So, there! I had sucessfully wasted my first wish!
As I sat on my bed, I realized my problem.
I'm a wishful thinker.
I'm also used to just wishing things and not having them come true.
But now things are going to be different for me.
I need to remember that things are different now, and all my wishes will come true, whether I like it or not!
Suddenly I looked at my clock. I had been gone three days!!!!!!!!!
oh my god, where was my family?
"Mom?!?", I called.
***No answer*****
Then I heard the door open. I ran down to see who was there.
"Mom!"
But it wasn't my mom. It was the lady from the bookstore.
"O-oh. I'm sorry. I thought..."
"No, I'm the lady. But you will see your mother again. Just not as soon as you may hope."
"Oh."
"Didn't use your first wish so well did you."
"No. I just keep forgetting that they will all come true now."
"I see. Give me your hand."
As I gave her my hand, she ran her fingers over it and whispered something. When I took it away, there was a small inscription:
"Be careful what you wish for..for your wishes will come true."
"This will remind you.", she said.
When I looked up to thank her she was gone.
I smiled and looked at my hand. Then I went back up to my room, or what now was my room anyway.
