CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Dad stares. I had just told him my plan and he hasn't said anything. And it's making me nervous. " Dad" I whisper, " please don't be mad. I was gonna tell you- " " sh" he says, and stares again. Finally he speaks. " why do you want to talk to your uncle? " dad asks. " he told me something that night. I need answers " I say, " well your not going. " dad says. " dad! " I whine, " No! I am not letting you go and talk to a man who had his guardian attack you, and try to knock you out. In fact he did end up knocking you out " dad yells, " I have questions dad! He knows who the guy is! He could've led me to him! " I yell, " and then what?! How would you escape?! " dad asks. I staid silent. Honestly..I don't know. I would eventually but..no idea. " Sophia you are not allowed to go see him " dad says then walks away. I nod. Ha! I wasn't planning on telling you and I came prepared. Tomorrow was the trial, I had to get down there tonight. ' we're still going? ' Carson says, ' you betcha ' I tell him.

' Alright Sophie. Carson " Emily says Into are microphones. ' You will have to sneak to the prison on your own but once your there I'll be able to help " Emily says, ' okay ' I say. " come on Carson " I pull him into the hallway and look both ways. Once it's clear we walk down the hallway. Checking behind every once in a while, we turn down another hallway. " Sophie Carson " we stop and turn to see Adrian, and Uriel. " We know that your disobeying your fathers orders " Uriel says, " I need answers. Uncle Issac knows something. He knows about my deaths. He said something that I need answers too " I tell them. Adrian and Uriel look at each other. " fine. But let me and Uriel help. " Adrian says. I was shocked to say the least. " You..you want to help? " I ask, " we can help you two get to the prison without being detected. If Emily is helping you in the prison. Allow us to help you in the hallways here " Adrian says. He had a point. We needed help if getting to the prison and I didn't really even know how to get there. These two lived here and have been down there before. I sigh. " fine. " I say. Adrian goes in front and leads the way with Uriel behind walking backwards. We walked down several hallways, twist and turns when we finally arrived at a metal double door. Adrian typed something on the keypad then the doors opened. ' I see you ' Emily says, ' good. ' I say. I nod at Adrian and Uriel. " il contact Carson when you should come back " Uriel says, I nod. Me and Carson enter the prison hallways. The metal doors shut close. ' Alright Em. Where's his cell ' I ask, ' take a left at that intersection ' she says. Me and Carson do so. ' head straight then take a right at the next intersection. ' she says. We do so, again. ' okay it's the cell at he end of the hallway ' she says. I go to the door. ' alright ' Maddie says, ' the code is....5236. ' Maddie says. 5236. I type that in and the metal door opens. " I'll stand guard here and open the door when you should come out " Carson says, " thank you for this Carson " I thank him then enter.
The walls were white, the cell at the other end of the room. It had glass over the bars, that would remove. And there inside sat my uncle Issac starring in the mirror of himself. " you look happy " I say as I press the button and the glass moves away from the bars. " Sophia " uncle says shocked. " I didn't think you'd come down here. I thought you'd be Anya and my brother " uncle says, " I want answers " I say. He nods. He walks to the bars and pokes his head through. " ask away " uncle says. " Who is the leader? " I ask, he sighs. " His name is..his name is serif. " uncle says, " he isn't someone you should just rush into a battle with Sophie. " uncle warns. " Why is he after Anya " I ask, " he's not just after Anya Sophie. He wanted you there as well. " uncle says, " he read the reports. Someone like Anya healed you and brought you back to life. And he's quite fascinated that you came back. Not just once but twice now " uncle says, " It's impossible to come back to life. Immortality sure. But to come back from death. That's another thing. " uncle says. " so when you said I was kissed by shadows. It's because I was dead " I ask, he nods. " you were with the shadow and the dead. Then you left about right after and obviously the shadow kissed you on your way out. " uncle says, " your special Sophia. You know you are. Anyang be able to heal. But you are the true power of her abilities. " uncle says. " Why did you do it uncle? " I ask him, he sighs. " I tried to stop working for him ages ago. I wasn't gonna take you and Anya to him. I was gonna take you two to a safe house " uncle says, " I was gonna take you two away and hide you both from him. What he's doing is not right Sophia. He's crazy. " he tells me, " you have to stop him Sophia. Your the only one who could. " uncle says. " but you also should know he's smart. He's crazy smart, and he could make you think differently. " uncle says. " he's a dark magic user isn't he " I ask, uncle nods. " he's study all the four elements. Be careful Sophia. " uncle Issac Says. " Sophie we need to go " Carson voice is heard. And the door opens. " I'm sorry Sophia " uncle says, " it's okay. Thank you " I say to him then press the button and the glass go over the bars. Uncle backs away. I smile sadly at him and leave the cell. " lets go " we run back to the main door. Uriel stands and takes us out. " we need to get you back to your rooms. Your fathers doing bed checks " Uriel says and we rush to our rooms.

Running into my room I shut the door and get into my pjs, brush my hair and put my hair into a pony tail. I crawl into bed and close my eyes pulling he covers over me. And let the sleep take over.
