CHAPTER FIVE

I was on house arrest. Adrian hasn't left my side for the whole twenty minutes I've been waiting for dad to return. Why was he putting me on house arrest. I did nothing, sure I was gonna follow him- it's because I was gonna follow him. At least he's got to know me. I sit on the couch and watch the news, apparently there was an attack in one of the Warewolf packs and five people were kidnapped. It's been happening a lot now a days. I don't know why it's happening. Guardians are increasing security with royal families. Especially Anya. I just pray they don't for me. " She's free to go " dads voice is heard, I stand up and rush to the elevator. " bye " I say, " but! " damn it. " you are getting two guardians " " why! " I say as I turn to see my dad with the twelve guardians behind him. " I don't need- " " yes you do young lady. Especially what's happening right now. Now this is Snake and Uriel and there your guardians for a while till we work out what's going on " dad says, I glare his way. " I don't need protection dad " I say through gritted teeth. " well with all this kidnapping and you keeping secrets maybe it would be good to have someone watch you. " dad says, I glare again. " Adrian please go up and help Anya " dad says. I look dads way the whole time. I didn't need babysitters! I was training to be a guardian for god sakes. I liked it, the excitement, the thrill, the protecting. I would be good especially as Anya guardian I would be a legend because of are bond thing. I like to call it a bond because it makes sense. We have a bond, I can see and feel what she feels it makes sense. But I can't believe my father is making me have guardians. I don't need protection. " Uriel, snake I'll leave you to it " dad says then goes up the stairs to Anya room most likely. " Uriel snake I don't mean to be rude but you really don't need to be my guardians. " I tell them, " we know your highness. But your father is right. You don't know what's truly happening with these kidnappings. One of the alphas was kidnapped even. " snake says. An alpha was kidnaped! The alpha of that pack was kidnapped! " It's true. The news didn't want to cause people of the world alarm. Only that pack, the royal court, the guardians and now you " Uriel says. An alpha was kidnapped.." why are they kidnapping people ? " I ask, " we don't know. But we feel it does have to do with the guy who is after you and Anya. " Snake says. I knew they'd have to be connected. " why did my father leave " I ask, " had to go get us. Ordered us we're not to let you out of are sights. One of us will stay with you, " Uriel says, " and one of you behind us. I've learned this in training " I tell them. " then you understand the risk if we were to not follow our orders " snake asks. he was right too. A guardian main job is to protect. If he or she even though there isn't many female guardians anymore, don't do their job it's almost a sin. A guardian is there and if the order comes from the king to protect his child it's a something they couldn't put down. So yes, I understood why they'd not want to do this. " I understand " I say. " well then you guys can come with me to the cafeteria to see my friends " I say and we head to the elevator.
