CHAPTER EIGHT

"Amadea?" There stood the one and only, Janet. I let out a small panic as I looked down to check that Garin had already hid. Thank goodness. "Oh, hello Janet. Fancy seeing you around." I let out a fake smile. "Yeah, yeah whatever." She rolled her eyes and walked down the pier towards me.

I was pretty amazed that she was still alive, I haven't seen her around in ages - I was so proud that I would not be seeing her face ever again. But I did. "What brought your bony-ass to this place?"  She scoffed. "I could ask you the same." Why was she standing beside me? Wouldn't she like go off and move on to her rich life.

Janet wore on boy shorts and the smallest tank top, that wasn't even considered as a tank top anymore, more like a cropped top. "I know,  you're probably thinking, 'what is she doing here' and blah blah blah, but I got a real big discussion that I need to discuss with you." She said turning to face me, her arms crossed as she made that signature 'diva' look.

"I've notice this 'friendship' with you and Finn," She said. "Two words. Back. Off." She said the last two words so sternly and scarily, or maybe it's just her. "Why should I?" I asked her. "Because Finn is mine, he would rather go out  with a rich sexy, beautiful chick like me. Not you." She poked me. "It doesn't matter to me." I told her. "But it does matter to you, you like him, you like Finn. I know you do, I see the way you look at him." She smirked.

"There's a difference between genuinely liking someone, and liking the attention someone gives you. And it may be hard to tell the difference."  I told her.  "What?" She scoffed. "It's a sensable quote Janet." I picked up a pebble and threw it to the ocean. The midnight moon just glowing, it was so big and so round. So beautiful.

I looked at her as she stared back at me, "You're such a weirdo." I shrugged, "What can I do? " She rolled her eyes and stomped off, "Your sense of humor bores me!" She went off to wherever she was going, thank goodness she was gone.

I turned around and leaned in at the edge, "Garin?" His head popped out, "Do you like Finn?" he asked. I let out a sigh and shrugged, "Like I said, there's a difference between genuinely liking someone, and liking the attention someone gives you. And it may be hard to tell the difference." I quoted again.

"You genuinely like him and you like the attention he gives you too." He said. "I suppose so," I sat down and hugged my knees. "Garin,"  I said. "No matter what happens, we'll stay as the best of friends right?" He bobbed his head,  "Till my dying day." I let out a smile and patted his head, "I love you." "I love you too."

I woke up to the sun shining down on my face, I turned over and checked the clock. '7:35am' it read. Damn it I was going to be late! I jumped out of the bed and ran to the bathroom, taking a quick shower and got ready quickly. I grabbed my bag and books, running out grabbing my keys I ran down the hallway.

"Excuse me!" I said as I push people out of the way. "Sorry!" I accidentally made someone drop their stuffs. It was already 7:49am and my classes starts  at exactly eight. When I say eight,  exactly eight, Mr. Sanchez would literally start the lesson at eight and no later than that! I wonder how early he gets up.

I saw the class as I ran in quickly, to see Mr. Sanchez there sitting down as I greeted him nicely, still catching my breath I took a seat. There were still a few students and some more going in, "Miss Trustcott, may you please come over here." He said. I stood up and walked over to him, "I noticed that you weren't able to attend classes yesterday. Why is that?"

"I was sick sir." I told him. "Well hope you feel well, since today we have an quiz I suppose I would let you skip it for today." Finn never told me about having a quiz. "Uh, yes sir." I nodded. "So you can just keep quiet in your place for the following period." He said. "Thank you Mr. Sanchez." I smiled softly.
