To Baily
We saw each other we laughed till we cried.
Instantly friends, it was so bizarre
There were no introductions, nothing that had to be tried.
Best friends, simple as that, it's what we are.
Every day I looked forward to seeing you
To spending all our time together
There was nothing I thought we couldn't do
I thought we'd be best friends forever.
We had our happy days; our sad days
But we always made it through them
But darlin' I can't see through this new haze
I just want us back the way we were again.
I know that I've done many things
That make you want to leave
But I've come to the end of my string
And your friendship is something I need.
I'm trying to change, and I need you here
I can't lose you darling, not now, not ever
I need you to help me steer
I promised you we'd go through this together.
So can we both move on, leave the past alone
Walk forward and never look back on it
Just walk together, not on our own
So we both have help getting through this?
No matter what you say
I will always be there for you
Morning, afternoon, midnight, any time of day
Let me know if there is ever anything more I can do.
