Daydreaming about the day we'll meet,
I can already feel you put your arms around me.
My heart longs for the loving heat
As I search for the one who holds the key.
It's late on a summer afternoon,
And I'm curled up next to you.
We watch the sun give way to the moon,
As the stars start to fill up the sky too.
I think to myself, "I might just live these dreams."
Cause every now and then things work out,
Though maybe not the way it seems
And we usually survive through love's drought.
You're right there, right next to me
Doesn't matter what time; night or day
Your taillights are something I'll never see
I wish things could actually be this way
Day and night I always dream about you
As the memory train rolls by I jump on
Cause there isn't anything more I can do
Cause you're already too far gone.
