Sunday Morning
Kendall's POV

Because we went to church last night, we don't have it this morning.. which is kind of great.

I look over to find my dog, King, sleeping right on my pillow. He is a wiener dog. I don't need Melo because I have him...... kidding... not really.

After last night I don't even know what to say to Melo. I really shouldn't be mad, he is my best friend and we do not date. I grab my phone and check the time to see that it's 8:50.

"KEN!" Someone whisper yells at my window. I thought it might've be Shan because she sneaked into Gelo's room to do whatever. I get out of bed only in my undergarments and guess who it is? "MELO?"

I run back to my bed and grab a cover to wrap my body. "Dude what do you want?" I ask really confused.

"Come on let me in, you act like I never saw your underwear before." He replies.

"BOY THAT WAS IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH THIRD GRADE." I whisper yell. We used to bathe together when we were little.

"Can you freaking open the window, I can barley hear you"

I get back out of bed with my covers wrapped around me and open the window. "What you want?" I ask.

I signal him to turn around so I can put on my clothes. "Okay so I had made out with a girl last night but this girl was Brandon's somewhat crush" Melo says while still turned around.

"CASS?!" I ask hoping it's not her.

"No, her name is Julie."

Oh the tea. I tap his shoulder so he can turn back around.

"Look tell Brandon what happened. He'll most likely be mad but it's better then him finding out and it becomes worst." I say.

He nodded and pulled me into a hug. As he slowly backs up I pulled him into another hug not wanting to let go. Let go Ken. This is awkward now. He accepts my hug offer and we rock side to side. It felt really nice. When we finally backed up there was a moment of silence as we just stare into each other's eyes.

God I want to kiss him. But I can't! I slowly lean in closing my eyes. The closer I got the more I felt his breath on me. Once I was about to kiss him he slightly pushes me off him.

"Ken." He says. "Yeah I got it. Sorry. I should go." I say. "You can leave whenever though" I walk out my room totally embarrassed.

Melo's POV

I still can't stop thinking about Kendall and what happened. But the most important thing on my mind right now is telling Brandon what happened. I pull out my phone and search for Brandon's contact to text him.

Me: I gotta talk to you bruh

Brandon🔥:  what is it dude? 🤔

Me: I don't wanna say it over text, you gotta come over. 😓

Brandon🔥: nah just tell me now.

Me: me and Julie.. we sorta.....

Brandon🔥: sorta what?😶

Oh god I can't do this. I'm chickening out.

Me: sorta planned a party for you if that's okay.. yknow? For your birthday.

Brandon🔥: FR? Dang dude I thought you was about to say something else. Thanks man much love broski ✊🏽

Why am I scared? I put my phone down and go take a shower. I think if I can't talk to Brandon about something I have to at least talk to Kendall about our problem.

I run the water and start to shower. After a good hour I get out drying off my body with a towel. I pick up my phone to see I got a message from Julie.

Julie👀: wanna come over? My parents aren't home.

Shoot what do I do? I go over to text Kendall for advice.

Me: WHAT DO I DO! JULIE ASKED ME TO COME OVER!

Ken 🏃🏽‍♀️💨: idk.

Me: REALLY? CMON HELP ME!

Ken🏃🏽‍♀️💨: 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Ugh. She must be mad at me from earlier. I really don't wanna loose her. I gotta talk to her. I ignore Julie's text and finish changing to go over to Kendall's house.

I knock on her window hoping she'll answer. why do I always go to her window and not the front door? Oh well. She comes to the window and closes the blinds. Is she that mad?

I go to her sisters room and ask Shan to open her window. Shan agrees and let's me into her room. "Wassup Gelo" I say walking pass him. Woah wait. "Wait what you doing here? I just saw you before I left."

"I'm swift bruh."

I roll my eyes and walk to Kendall's room. When I walk in she's laying on her bed watching relationship couple goal videos on Instagram.

"Loner" I snicker. "Shut up" she replies obviously annoyed. "Come on Kendall I'm sorry. I told you how I felt yesterday. You have to accept that."

Kendall sighs. "I'm not mad at you, mad at myself for liking your dumb self right now."

I smirk and jump on her bed while hugging her tightly. "I missed you Ken." I say while stuffing my face on her shoulder making her die of laughter. She pushes me off of her and just smiles. Such a beautiful smile. I never noticed that.

"I missed you too buddy even though it was only like a couple hours." She replies.

"10 HOURS IS A LOT!"

Got my best friend back..
