Chapter seventeen

A few days later, Cynthia and I was moved in. We had the storage room cleaned out and ready for Ember to stay. "You like your room?" I asked as I sat Ember down at the door way to her room. Her little midnight casle bed was in the corner of the room. The walls were purple with black lining around the edges. "Vampire!" Ember said as she walked straight to her bookshelf. "Vampire?" I said laughing as I sat on her bed. Michael sat next to me. "Readd." Ember said as she handed the book we've been readying to Michael. "Me to read?" Michael said confussed. Ember shook her yes. "Well, isnt this the second one?" Michael asked me. "Yeah, were on the second on. Fifth chapter." I said smiling. "Wow. Really?" Michael said shocked. "Yup. She loves for you to read to her. I sat of hours one day when it was raining." I said as I kissed Embers forehead. "Shes going to be smart." Michael said as Ember crawled next to him. "Have fun." I said smiling as I left the room.

"Whats Michael doing?" Dj asked me as I walked into the livingroom. "Finaly doing his job." I said to him. "Break from being a parent?" Dj asked me laughing. "Yes. God yes." I said laughing as well. "You know what you need? A drink." Philip said smiling. "Oh no. I still got to watch her." I said laughing still. "More for me." Philip said as he took a sipp from his Jack Daniels bottle. "I havent gone out in forever." I said looking at Cynthia. "I know. It sucks. Why dont we go out tonight. Michael watch Ember." Cynthia siad looking at me. "No, I dont want to leave him here alone." I said looking back at Embers room. "I'll stay. Have a girls night. Just the two of you." Dj said looking at both of us. "Really? You up for that?" I asked him. "Yeah. What could be so bad about watching a one year old?" Dj said leaning back on the couch. "If you say so." I said walking back to Embers room. "Yes?" Michael said smiling at me. "Is it okay if you and Dj watch Ember so me and Cynthia can go out?" I asked him. "Why do you guys want to go out?" Michael asked me. "I havent been out of the house without her. Ever." I said looking at Ember smiling evily. Ember gigled. "And your trusting me to stay with her?" Michael said laughing. "Of course. Your her father." I said looking at him. "Alright. Have fun." Michael said as he contuied to read to Ember.

Cynthia and I was upstairs getting ready to go out for a girls night. "Are you all done yet?" Dj said knocking on the bathroom door. "Almost!" Cynthia said putting on eyeliner. I just got done straighting my hair as Cynthia got done with her eyeliner. "Done!" Cynthia said as she started out of the bathroom. "No wait!" I said stopping her as I started my eyeliner. "Why?" Cynthia asked me. "Wait for me." I said smiling as I did the other side. "All you do is straighten your hair and eyeliner." Cynthia said laughing. "Im a simple person." I said laughing as well. "Come on now. I gotta pee!" Dj said knocking on the door agian. "Were done." I said walking out of the bathroom. "Finaly." Dj said running into the bathroom. "Well then. Dont kiss your girlfriend by!" Cynthia yelled laughing. "Dont leave yet!" Dj yelled back. Cynthia rolled her eyes and we went into the livingroom. "All ready to go?" Michael said looking at me with Ember in his arms. "Just about. Were waiting on Dj to get out of the bathroom so Cynthia can tell him by." I said laughing. "Do I want to know?" Michael said laughing as well. "No not really." I said as Dj finaly came out of the bathroom. "Ready now?" Cynthia said looking at Dj. "Yes." Dj said as he kissed Cynthia. "Aww." Have fun." Michael said as I kissed him and left with Cynthia.

Cynthia and I met up with Courtney and Brandy at Club Sinister. "Its about time you got out of the house." Brandy said as we sat at a table. "Does Michael know where your at?" Courtney asked me. "I dont think so." I said laughing. "Wow, you think he would be mad?" Courtney asked again. "Maybe not." I said looking at my phone. "Well we need some drinks." Courtney said waving for the waiter. He came over to our table and asked us what we wanted to drink. "Crown Royal please." Brandy said to the waiter. "I will have some Crown Royal as well." Courtney said smiling. "Baccardi." Cynthia said, no questions asked. "And for you?" The waiter asked me. "Oh, I dont know." I said looking at Cynthia. "Come on get somthing. Jack Daniels." Brandy said to me. "Maybe, but no." I said looking at the waiter. "Alright." The waiter said as he went off to get the drinks. "Your drinking some of mine." Cynthia said glaring at me. "And whys that?" I asked her laughing. "Because. I said so. You need a drink." Cynthia said laughing. "I have to drive." I said looking at her funny. "I have to drink too." Courtney said as the waiter brought drinks. "Then why are you drinking?" I asked her shocked. "Im not really drinking." Courtney said as she sipped her drink. "Mhm sure." I said laughing again. "Im not getting drunk, just a refreshment." Courtney said laughing as well. "I am." Cynthia said as he drunk half her glass. "Damn." Brandy said looking at her. "What? Were spouse to be having fun!" Cynthia said as she got up. "Where you going?" I asked her. "No, not where im going. Where we are going." Cynthia said as she took my hand and pulled me up out of my chair. Brandy did the same thing to Courtney. "I dont like dancing." I said as Cynthia pulled me of the dance floor. "Come on dance!" Brandy said as she started to dance to the music. The club was playing Skrillex. "Why not?" Courtney said as she started to dance as well. "Im not a dancer. Im a head banger." I said laughing. "Come on. Do the hellen keller and talk with your hips!" Cynthia said as she song part of a 3oh3 song. "Wow." I said laughing I finaly started to dance. "Yay!" Brandy yelled.
