Chapter eight

A month or two have past by, Michael and Philip done flew back to LA. I texted Michael a few times here and there, nothing major. Nothing new. "Your bellys getting bigger." Cynthia said pointing at my stomic during lunch. "Shh." I said laughing. "Well! Its true!" She said laughing as well. "Whens the last time you talked to Michael?" Brandy asked me. "About two days ago? Im not sure." I said just stairing at the table. "No progress in dating?" Brandy asked me. I shook my head no. "You know what, lets sign out." Brandy said as she pushed her tray away. "Why?" Courtney asked looking at her. "Because. Fall break starts tommrow. Lets take a road trip." Brandy said as everyone took their trays up. "Where?" Cynthia asked. "LA." Brandy said as we followed her to the office. My eyes grew wide. "Why?" Courtney asked. "See Michael of course." Brandy said looking at me. "Um." I said as we walked threw the office and out the door. "Phone." Brandy said holding out her hand. I didnt say anything just handed it to her. I knew what she was thinking and why she was thinking it. And you dont mess with Brandy when she has these plans. She went to Michaels contact and called him. "Hello?" Michael said answering the phone. "Hey, this is Brandy. Cyndys friend. Were on spring break tommrow and we desided to go to Cali. Hope you dont mine. K, bye." She said as she hung up the phone. "Nice!" Cynthia said laughign as we all got into th car. "Um, he texted." I said looking at my phone. "Give." Brandy said holding out her hand again. "What did he say?" Cynthia asked. "Why are you coming?" Brandy said reading it. "And what are you going to say?" Cynthia asked her. "Just can." Brandy said reading the text as she sent it. "Oh my god." I said as Courtney pulled up to the house.

"What are you going to bring?" Cynthia said as we both went threw our closet. "I dont know." I said freaking out. "Its going to be fine." Brandy said stuffing half her stuff in her bag. "This is crazy." I said as I put my skinnys in my bag. "I know, but its so great all at the same time." Cynthia said exited. "Im so not driving." I said as I had all my stuff packed. "I will!" Courtney said as she walked to the top of the stairs with everything packed. I grabbed my pillow and blacket and headed down stairs. "Did I say how exited I am?" Cynthia said as we all went outside and loaded into the car. "Yes, yes you did." Courtney said getting in the drivers seat. "I've always wanted to go to California." I said looking out the window as we started down the road. "This should be fun." Brandy said laughing. "Oh I agree." I said as I put my head phones in. "This is going to be one long trip." Brandy said as she got out her laptop. "I wanna watch a movie!" Cynthia said to Brandy. "Hang on, im working on my story." Brandy said as she started to type. "Damn." Cynthia said as she put in her head phones and crossed her arms. "One long road trip." Courtney said laughing. "Its going to be forever." Brandy said still typing. "Oh I know." Courtney said. Brandy turned around and looked at me. I had fallen asleep with my ipod blasting in my ears. "You think Michaels going to stick around?" Brandy asked Courtney. "What do you mean?" Courtney asked glancing at Brandy. "Well, the way he plays around with her. It makes me think hes only doing this to keep her think hes going to stay untill the babys born. He never texts her. I think hes going to try to take the baby from her." Brandy said serious. "You have a point. I just hope its not true tho. Maybe hes just really confussed." Courtney said worrying. "You have your thoughts and I have mine. I just dont like how hes doing her." Brandy said looking back at me again.

I woke up a few hours later and it was almost twelve. We had already changed time zones and Brandy was driving. Courtney was asleep in the pasenger seat. "Where we at?" I asked looking around. "Teaxas." Brandy said still driving. "Really? That far?" I said shocked. "Yeah, We've been driving since ten o'clock this morning." Brandy said glancing at the radio clock. "Damn, were close then arnt we?" I asked. "Yeah. Just about to cross over in Navada." Brandy said. "Whats going on?" Cynthia said as she woke up. "We're almost in Navada." I said streaching. "Ahh. Sweet." Cynthia said as she streached as well. "We should be there soon." I said looking out the window as we passed the sign that said 'Welcome to Nevada.' Under is someone spray painted 'Sin City.' Cynthia and I laughed. "Has Michael texted or said anything?" I asked looking at my phone. "Maybe." Brandy said as she grabbed my phone. "Well?" I asked her. "No he didnt." She said as she handed me my phone. "Figures." I said looking out the window. "Hey let me see your phone." Cynthia asked me. "Sure." I said as I handed it to her. Cynthia went threw my contacts and called Michael. "Yes?" Michael said answering the phone. "Cynthia." I said looking at her. "Its Cynthia. What are you doing?" Cynthia asked him. "Sitting ony my couch. Why?" Michael asked confussed. "You know were almost there?" Cynthia said. "Really?" Michael said shocked. "Yeah, anways. Whos with you?" Cynthia asked. "Nobody, but Dj and Philip are coming over later. Why?" Michael asked confussed again. "Just asking." Cynthia said smiling. "Okay.. But how long till your going to be here?" Michael asked her. "Brandy! How much longer?" Cynthia yelled at Brandy and woke Courtney up. "A hour and 30 mins." Brandy said. "A little over an hour." Cynthia said to Michael laughing. "Okay." Michael said as he hung up the phone. "Where we at?" Courtney asked. "Almost in California." Brandy said. "Yay! So exited!" Cynthia yelled. "I want to go back to sleep." Courtney said as she tried to sleep, but that didnt happen. "Courtneyy! Wake up! Your not allowd to sleep!" Cynthia yelled hitting her with a pillow. "Okay, okay. Im awake." Courtney said glaring at Cynthia. I rolled my eyes and laughed. "So now Michael knows were almost there." I said looking out the window. "And?" Brandy said. "I dont know. I just wounder how its going to be." I said as we finaly pasted a sign that said, 'Welcome to California.'
