Stupid, Stupid, Stupid
I should have asked before I steped outside.
You see, with my power, I have to ask a question before my brain gives me a answer. It's not like I am just given the knowledge.
Well, those regrets woudn't help now.
I watched as my family shifted into their wolf forms and I followed their action, getting ready to attack back. But to our sup rise, the 50 wolves stopped before us, not bothering to even complete the attack, which I have to say was something I had never seen before. Gen rally they would just charge, and try to take us by force.
We all watched as a larger black wolf disappeared behind a tree, only to come back out again shifted and clothed. He looked maybe in his fiftys, but who knew how old he really was. Even though signs of aging were defiantly visable across his face, he would definatly be considered attractive. He still had muscle left from his youth and his jaw was angular and strong. He had hair almost the same color as his wolfs coat, and eyes that were a deep green. Damn, if I was only 35 years older.
"We need to speak to your healer, shift." He said with so much power it was obvious he was alpha.
My grandmother ran into the house and shifted, thankfully coming out fully clothed.
"That healer," she said sounding like a total diva "would be me."
"We need your help desperately!"
"Why, would that be?" said my grandmother, still trying to use that sass. Honestly, I didn't think it really worked for her.
"My only son is dreadfully sick. He is the only one strong enough to take my place as leader, and to keep our pack safe the way it has always been."
"What are the symtoms?" she said, now sounding generally concerned.
" Anything you can think of that involves the heart of chest, please we beg of you! I will give you anything."
"Well, this certainly isn't something you see every day. A alpha, on his hands and neens, begging for the help of rouges. But, this sounds like a ver interenesting case, so I am willing to help for free."
Should we follow them, and let grandmama help the alpha's son? I asked myself in my head.
'Only you my dear, can help the poor boy'
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And that folks, was how Xavier and I ended up waiting outside of the alpha to be's room while my gram helped "fix him up" as she liked to say.
The house was big. And by big, I mean massive! I had no idea how people found their way around this place.
And it wasn't just large, the quality of everything in the home was amazing.
Tapestrys filled with images of wolves and supernatural beings filled the walls, and the chairs were comfotable but worn at the same time. Many of them you could tell were antiques. The floors were made of a dark wood and the walls transitioned between stone, and creme colored paint. But the stairs, oh the stairs. A huge stairwell was the center veiw point of the house, covered in a beautiful velvity rug.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't jelous.
My gran poked her head out of the doorway,
"Dear, you must come see this, it is remarkable!'
My brother and I gave each-other a look before standing up. Gram was like this, amazed by sickness and wounds alike.
As we entered the room, my eyes zoned in on a boy who may have once been incredibly attractive, but you could tell sickness had taken it's toll. He resembled his father, was larger and stronger looking.
As I walked over to his bed, my grandmother rushed to his side.
"Look," she said, unbuttoning his shirt to reveal his chest.
There, over his heart was grans hand print.
"When I tried to heal hime, my had burn straight onto his skin!" She looked so exited. "See!"
She grabed my hand and shoved it against his chest.
And she never would understand what happened next, becuse when my hand touched his skin, the boys bright green eyes flew open.
