Evelyn's POV
Rain poured heavily as I stalked through the darkness. I was searching, searching for the one. My victim. His scent so alluring it was almost unbearable, but I had to take it slow. I wanted to savor this moment.
I caught sight of him walking down an abandoned sidewalk. A sudden thrust of wind sent waves of his intoxicating scent up my nostrils, causing my gums to throb anxiously.
I felt my fangs slowly elongate from my gums. I've been waiting for him to show his face for months and now I can give him what he truly deserves. Death. Tonight is that night.
Robert Johnson, 43, acquitted for the murder of Samantha Rodgers. I knew he was guilty. I could see right through his facade, which leads us to our current situation. Robert may have avoided the justice system, but he can't avoid me.
With incredible speed, I appeared before him, retracting my fangs as well. He jumped and placed his hand over his heart.
"Oh god, you scared the crap out of me," he said laughing nervously.
Instead of replying to his statement, I analyzed every single line, freckle, and dent in his face. I then looked into the eyes of the man who murdered an innocent woman.
"Uh, do I know you," he asked.
I smiled devilishly at him. "No, but I do know who you are."
His eyes began to dart left and right as if someone would magically appear.
"What do you mean?"
I smiled and quickly zipped behind him. "I know what you did...Robert."
He jumped back at the sound of my voice.
"I don't know what you're talking about lady!"
I laughed out loud. "Of course you know what I'm talking about buddy. You see, I know you killed Samantha in cold blood. It's written all over your face. For some reason, you were found not guilty, but you humans always fall for a good sob story. But you know what, I'm going to fix that for you."
He cleared his throat. "What do you mean?"
I feel my fangs slide out and decide to give him a wide smile.
He flinched. "What are you," he questioned.
"Your worst fucking nightmare!"
I grab him by the throat and slam him into the wall of a nearby building.
"Any last words," I ask.
"Why are you doing this?"
"Seriously, out of the kindness of my heart I give you a chance to say any last words or regrets, yet you choose to ask why. You're really ungrateful Robert.
"Please...," he started to beg.
"Blah blah blah, you're wasting your breathe. Begging isn't going to save you.
I deeply inhale his scent one last time.
"Mmmhh, AB+ my favorite," I said with my eyes lighting up with desire.
My new friend Robert began to struggle against my grip, which was quite amusing. As he kept flailing, I quickly sunk my fangs in that delicious vein that was popping out of his neck. He slowly stopped fighting back.
His body eventually went limp, but I kept sucking until there wasn't a drop of blood left. I dropped his body to the floor and began walking away as a smile crept its way my face.
My name is Evelyn Reed, I'm 19 years old and I kill murderers who think they've outsmarted the law system. What can I say, I take pride in what I do. I love to see the look on their faces before they die. It gives me a pleasurable rush that I can't explain. Sort of like an orgasm, if you've experienced one.
But right now it's time to celebrate and have a few drinks for myself. A hard working vamp like me definitely deserves it, right? I think so. Maybe I'll invite a guest or two to join the celebration of justice being served, my way of course.
Hehe, new story. I'm just trying to experiment with different story lines.
