Colin and I were currently making our way to St. Paul's Cathedral for the meeting with the Cult of Verbon.
The cult usually assigns us our victims and we travel anywhere across the globe to get the job done.
No one dares to defy the words of the cult because they all know the consequences they face if they do so. You could risk getting your fangs ripped out or endure the psychic ability of the cult leader.
Keep in mind that if your fangs get ripped out they will never grow back and you will be forced to drink blood from a cup, which is embarrassing.
With the psychic ability, the leader will use his power to squeeze the crap out of your internal organs.
I've only seen one vampire go through this and the poor guy didn't make it out. To be honest he was weak as hell. He only lasted for five seconds. I mean come on you have to agree that he was the weakest vampire on planet earth.
Moving on, we've just arrived at the Cathedral. I looked over at Colin and see that he's trembling.
"Are you scared or are you cold," I asked.
He turned and glared at me. "I'm not cold Evelyn, you know vampires don't get cold."
"I know you idiot, I was being sarcastic."
We seized our conversation once we took our seats inside. All members of the cult walked in and took their seats on the steps elevated in front of us.
Cult leader Chandler Adams began to speak.
"My fellow brothers and sisters, we have gathered here out of importance. Each and everyone of you have a new assignment waiting for you. Once you receive the assignment it will immediately take effect."
Everyone in the room began to mumble.
"Silence please," said Chandler. "We shall begin."
I looked over at my brother and saw him take a deep breathe.
I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Please vote if you enjoyed.
