Colin's POV

I reentered the club in search of my victim. The disgusting smell of sweat and alcohol was spreading through the air.

I had a hard time using my sense of smell. There were too many bodies in one room.

I walked out of the front door and waited until I caught a familiar scent. I scanned the crowd of people until I spotted her.

Jessica Ross, 26, acquitted for the murder of her 2 year old daughter. I don't enjoy killing humans, but I know that she needs to die. The fact that she harmed her own child, made something snap inside me.

A low growl escaped my throat as I glared at her. I was going to murder her then and there until I heard a voice in my head.

"Don't you dare Colin! Flirt with her and try to get her alone," said my sister.

"I don't know if I can Ev, she deserves to die now," I growled.

"I know Colin, just do as I say. Make it seem as if you're interested in her and want to fool around. She's looking for a one night stand."

"Fine," I said.

I swiftly walked up to Jessica and forced a smile upon my face.

Hi, I couldn't help but notice how beautiful you are but I have a question," I said.

"Ask away," she said smiling.

"Did it hurt?"

"Did what hurt," she asked.

"When you fell from heaven this morning!"

"Really, that's how you pick up girls," she asked while laughing.

"No, but I thought I'd give it a try with you. I have more if you want to hear them," I said.

"Sure go ahead."

I quickly thought of a pick up line.

"Hey, are you a parking ticket?"

"What? What does that even mean," she asked.

"Well you've got fine written all over you!"

"You're cute," she says laughed. "What's your name?"

"Well my fair lady, my name is Colin Reed. What's yours?"

"Jessica, Jessica Ross."

"Now that is what I call a beautiful name."

"Thank you Colin. So...what do you say to getting out of here?"

"I say hell yes."

She grabbed my hand and began leading me toward her apartment. The further we walked, the more abandoned the streets became.

I began to slow my walk and let go of her hand.

"What's wrong Colin," she asked smiling.

"You're what's wrong," I said calmly.

The smile on her face slowly began to fade.

"What do you mean?"

"How could you do it? Huh? How can you murder your own daughter and walk around as if nothing happened?"

"How do you know that?"

"HELLO JESSICA, IT WAS ALL OVER THE NEWS!"

She slowly started to back away from me. I sped behind her and grabbed her wrist.

"You're not going anywhere Jessica."

Please let me go," she cried.

I laughed sarcastically.

"Awww, poor little Jessica is begging. Did your daughter beg for you to stop," I hissed.

A loud sob escaped her throat.

"MOMMY, MOMMY STOP," I screamed.

Jessica fell to her knees, grasping her chest.

"It hurts doesn't it? You know you killed that defenseless little girl, yet you pretended to feel sorrow for yourself. But that's fine because everything is going to come to an end for you."

"I don't understand," she said in between sobs.

"I mean you're going to die. Hopefully your death will put your daughter's soul to rest."

"Oh god, please don't! I'll do anything you want!"

"Nothing is going to save you, it's too late," I whispered.

I gently lifted her from the ground so she was standing on her feet. I moved her hair from the side of her neck as my fangs shot from my gums.

She whimpered from the touch of my fingers.

I quickly sunk my teeth into her neck and quickly drained her of blood. Her body slumped against mine as I retracted my fangs. Her lifeless body sunk to the ground.

I turned around and with the speed of light, made my way to the Four Seasons Hotel to meet Evelyn.
