I took one last look at my drawing before handing it over to Clay.

For awhile he just sat there, staring at my drawing.

I suddenly became fearful of his reaction.

"Well.." I managed to choke out.

"It's... wow, your really good Amara." he said flabbergasted.

"Thanks." I replied, relief washing over me.

I didn't know why but I had the feeling that I need to impress him.

He stared at me for a little while longer until he suddenly froze.

Confused, I gave him a puzzling look.

I furrowed my eyebrows and he gave me an apologetic look.

"Uh sorry, excuse me." and with that he left as soon as the bell rang.

CLAY'S POV

She was breathtaking.

From the moment I saw here my wolf was howling with joy.

My mate was absolutely beautiful, and she was all mine.

As soon as I caught her sent when I walked in earlier it took almost everything I had not to claim her right then.

Her beauty captured my eyes as soon as I stepped into the classroom.

Her silky black hair hung around her face, its bouncy curls resting loosely behind her shoulders.

And her magnificent orbs of baby blue had me starstruck.

When I noticed she had left her phone in homeroom, I took that as my chance to finally get what I wanted.

Now here she was, sitting in front of me with an innocent look plastered on her cute face.

I looked down at the portrait of me in my hands.

She was truly amazing.

I was dragged out of my thoughts by a voice in my head.

"Alpha, there's been a spotting of rogues near the border line."

It was my beta Allen.

"I'm in my way"

Was all I said before I shut the mind link off.

"Uh sorry, excuse me."

I hated to leave my mate, but I also had a pack to protect.

I got up and left the room.

I sprinted out of the school and headed straight for the woods that lied behind.

Once I was far enough into the woods I shifted into my midnight black wolf and dashed off.

When I reached the border line of my territory I noticed that my beta, Allen and my third in command, Kyle were already there with a dozen of my men.

I shifted back to my human form and slipped on a pair of shorts..

"What happened." I said to Allen.

"A couple of rogues, maybe 20 were spotted on our territory just a few minutes ago. I don't know why there were here, probably just trying to past through, but I told them to leave."

"And did they" I asked cautiously.

I would not stand to have that many rogues roaming around on my territory.

"Yes alpha, some of then insisted on passing through but I made it clear that it would not be allowed."

I felt at ease again with those words and decide that I was done here.

"Okay then, just incase they try to pass through, I want each of you to take shifts, as for the others go back to the pack house and inform the women and children to stay inside after 9 unless escorted by one of you." I barked at my men.

They obeyed my orders and got straight to it.

I shifted back and started sprinting to my house.

They day was almost over so I didn't bother going back to school.

As I entered my house I ran up the stairs not bothering to shift.

I got to my room and then shifted back and turned on the shower.

I slid open the glass doors and stepped under the steamy water.

I felt my musicales relax and eased into my train of thought.

But all I could think about was seeing my mate again.

It had only been 2 hours since I walked out on her in class, but I was already missing her.

I needed her, badly.

I hopped out of the shower and dried of my body frantically with a towel and then repeated the steps with my hair.

Once I was dressed I headed for the downstairs.

I was about to make my way to the kitchen when I was pulled aside.

"Where yah been babe, I missed you." someone purred in my ear.

I automatically knew who's voice it belonged to.

Pulling away from her grasp, I turned around to face her.

"What do you want Jenna" I spat at her.

I wasn't in the mood for her little games.

"You know what I want Clay." she said while softly stroking my arms.

I pulled her off of me and turned away from her.

"I'm not in the mood Jenna" it said with an annoyed tone.

"But Clay" she pouted her lip.

"Jenna I said I'm not in the mood."

At this point she was just getting on my nerves.

"But.."

I didn't give her time to finish.

"STOP" I demanded with my alpha voice dominating my tone.

My wolf barked in disgust at her attempt to persuade me.

He only wanted his mate, and so did I.

She backed away and left with a disappointed look.

I was glad she had left.

Thought she never would

My wolf scarfed at me, obviously relieved that she was no longer in our presence.

Agreed.

My wolf and I only yearned for one person, our beloved mate.
