Chapter 4

When I got home the house was empty.

I figured that mom and dad were out since it was there anniversary tonight and as for my uncle, he was

probably drinking at some bar in town.

I dropped my keys in the basket on the kitchen table and made my way to my room upstairs.

I was halfway there when a wave of pain stronger than I had ever encountered surged through my body with so much force that I nearly tripped down the stairs.

Holding onto my gut, I stopped to take a breath and try to relieve my body of the pain.

When the acing feeling finally washed over me, I continued to walk to my room.

I made it to the door when a nother wave of pain knocked me to the ground.

I screamed out and shut my eyes from the pain running through my body.

Never in my life had I experienced something so agonizing.

I felt as if my whole body was being crushed, my stomach was doing flips, and my heading was burning.

My breath was shallow as I tried to stay awake.

The pain was pulling me into darkness.

I tried to fight it, but I was in too much pain.

I left go feeling myself slip away.

Somehow this all felt too familiar..

I woke up from my dreamless slumber.

I looked around to find myself lying on what seemed to be.. a cloud?

Where the hell am I?!

I sat up and looked around, but all I could see was white.

It was everywhere.

I started to panic and thoughts rushed through my head.

What if I'm dead?! I can't die! What if someone killed me! Oh my god that can't happen!

"Calm down"

I spun my head around to find the owner of the voice standing behind me.

I was about to scream when I bit my bottom lip.

For some odd reason, I felt safe in this mans presents.

I didn't understand it, but I didn't fight it either.

"Who are you?" I managed to choke out.

"My name is Alexander, and I am your guardian." he spoke with such kindness and love that it over whelmed me.

He was beautiful.

His piercing blue eyes and golden locks reminded me of an angel

"What do you mean guardian?"

"From the moment your were born I was sent to watch over you, to insure that you were safe."

"But why?" the more he talked, the more confused I became.

"You will understand soon, for now I am only allowed to answer few questions for it is not my place to tell you certain things."

"Okay, well can you tell me where I am at least?"

"Your in Olympus."

"Olympus? I thought that was all fictional."

"No actually it's quite real."

My mind was doing summer salts by now.

"How did I get here?"

"You were summoned here, by me"

"But why, I'm so confused."

"You will understand but it's too soon. your not ready."

Ready for what?

My mind was reeling with so many questions I thought it would pop off.

"Let me explain." Alexander spoke with wisdom in his voice.

Something told me that what he was about to say was important, so I ridded my mindof all thoughts and opened it up for Alexander.

"You are not fully human my dear. You are a demmi god, half goddess half human. You are what they call a sótér, a powerful being with the ability to rid the soul of evil and bring peace to the human realm."

" A demmi god? But if I'm some powerful being, then where are my powers?"

Alexander looked shocked that I had taken the information so easily.

I don't know how to explain it, but everything he was telling me felt right.

" Since you are part human your powers weren't suppose to develop until full maturity, but they have been growing stronger and that's why I summoned you here. It is crucial that you understand what you are and what you can do. I didn't want to risk you getting hurt, so I pulled you here as fast as I could."

I just sat there quietly, nodding my head for him to continue.

"Your mother was Athena, godess of war and wisdom, a very powerful woman and many knew of her strength. They feared that if she conceived a child, that child would also be powerful. They feared that you would take over and destroy what had taken years to build up. This fear led them to banishing your mother of conceiving a child, and just to be safe, they made sure that your mother stayed a virgin. During a war, your mother ran off to the human realm, where she met your father. She fell in love and gave birth to you, while still on earth. Knowing that she couldn't take you with her, she left you there, and sent me to watch over you."

I stared at him blankly.

"You knew my mother" I said holding back the tears.

"Yes, and I promised her to keep you safe until you could return to her."

" And when will that be?" I wanted so badly to be in a place I could call home.

" When you can master your powers and defend yourself. It is not safe to expose you to the gods. I don't know how they would react to you."

I soaked all of the information in like a dry sponge.

" You are very powerful Amara, I need you to understand that. your close to maturity and not long your powers will start to show. you must learn to control them. I will help you, but you must promise me one thing."

"What is it?"

" You must not saying anything to anyone of this. In the wrong hands, information of your existence could be fatal. Do you understand?"
