I was only five years old the day when the president was overthrown and we were forced into a communist country. The North of us was already one and we were allies with the U.S., meaning we didn't want anything to do with that type of government. But unfortunately it came to that devastating day.
When the country was forced into communism, more than a quarter of the nation had died. People who were in jail and prison were sentenced to death by public executions in various ways. The prisoners who committed murder would die the same way as their victims. Hanging for strangling, bleeding out by daggers, and gunshots to the head. People in jail for robbery, rape, and copyright violation were all shot nonetheless. This unfortunately lead to some mothers watching their children die. Some of the fourteen to nineteen year olds could never learn from whatever mistakes they made.
An order was quickly set in for people who were deaf or hard of hearing to immediately get hearing aids or cochlear implants. The ones who refused were killed where they stood. Sometime after the order was released, the president made the military set out posters all around the country, forcing everyone to learn what was once called Morse Code. Officers and the military granted us weekly tests to see if we were improving. Those who showed no signs of improvement within three months were killed in their own homes.
That was only the beginning.
A month later, a new law was set that children at the age of sixteen should attend a boarding school where they learn to perfect the things that suit them best. A rich child could save lives and a pathetic one could save the nation. This is what my family and I believed was the starting of how our country brainwashed its people.
These boarding schools are separated into four different parts of the country and teach in different Sections depending on thy wealth.
Section One is for the elite families. Here they treat children like they're gods and have better opportunities than the others, such as being lawyers, doctors, or even the president.
Section Two is for the families who are basically second class. They don't have as much opportunities like Section One students, but are still able to become artists of their choice, teachers, and nurses.
Section Three is for the people with low income and just have enough to get by. Here the opportunities are extremely low. People are only allowed to work in factories, retail, and restaurants.
Section Four is where I stand. This is where children with extremely poor families live for five torturous years. We don't get to become what we dream of. Instead we become part of the military, police, security, or guardians. Because of this, we're trained to be machines. We're trained to show no emotion and only believe that the outsiders are our enemy.
The cruel thing about our country is that they will do anything to brainwash their citizens. This means that they are always willing to kill off any parasites that crawl on the country's skin.
It's quite unfortunate for them, for I am the nation's biggest parasite.
