"Someone needs to talk to her."

"Not me."

"You're her twin."

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"Stop whining and go talk to her, Gabe."

"No."

"Yes. You big baby."

"I'm not a baby."

"Yeah, ya are."

"No I'm not. I just can't."

"Why not?"

"Well..."

"Spit it out, idiot."

"We kind of got into a fight... andhirejectedberknoock."

"You got into a fight, and what?"

"I rejected her knock, okay?"

Silence, and then audible gasps.

"What the frick. Gabe. You totally caused this Spencer meltdown."

"Did not."

"Did too."

"Shut up, you two. Gabe, which knock did you reject?"

"Three." His slow reply.

There was a loud smack of skin on skin, and then a pop, of bone on bone.

"You're an idiot! You don't reject the third from your twin."

"Shut up." Gabe's voice was muffled.

"You shut up."

"You're both idiots. Someone go in there, or I'm calling Dylan."

Silence.

"Go ahead and call the bastard; that's probably who she wants anyway." There were footsteps leading away from my bedroom, and then I heard Gabe's door slam, and him flop down on his bed.

"Gabe." I said.

I heard him stop moving, and then, "What?" He whispered through the wall.

"I'm really hungry." I whispered back.

"Then go get some food, you idiot."

"If I leave, Mom will know that she was right about me having to come out eventually." I rolled my eyes.

My Mom had come in yesterday after my meltdown and yelled for an hour, and eventually I kicked her out.

And then she yelled through the door.

"Well, she is right. We have school tomorrow." Gabe's muffled response.

"But I haven't eaten since lunch. Yesterday."

"I'm not getting you food, Spencer Marie." Gabe's voice moved closer to the wall.

"Why not?" I whined, "This is your fault."

"And it's your fault that it's my fault. You lied to me."

 "I didn't lie."

"Well you sure as hell didn't truth."

"Well, there's nothing between me and Dylan as of yet." I smirked, "There. The truth."

"Not the answer I'm looking for."

Suddenly I got really mad, "So you're upset that your best friend and twin are dating? So what. I don't fucking care anymore, Gabe. You're being selfish. Dylan is my best friend, too, and now we like each other. What the fuck do you want me to do? Ignore him because my brother told me to? No. Gabe, I love you, but this is not okay."

I flipped over on my side, and ignored his mumbles, closing my eyes.

When I woke up, Dylan was sitting in my computer chair watching me, an eyebrow raised.

"What?" I asked groggily.

"Gabe's having a fit." Dylan rolled his eyes.

"Why?"

"Because he's an idiot."

 "What?" I repeated.

"I told him we weren't dating. He's just being jealous. We're his best friends. He thinks we're gonna forget him if we start dating."

"We're not dating though, Dylan."

"I told him that."

"We're just... thinking about it."

Dylan sat up a little straighter, "Just thinking about it?"

I pushed my feet over the side of the bed, "Well... yeah."

"And what are we thinking?"

I sighed, "Right now I'm thinking that you should leave so I can sleep some more."

Dylan stood up, and I craned my head back to see his face.

"What will you be thinking tomorrow?" He asked, hand on the doorknob.

"I'll let you know then." I said, "I just need to think about it."

Dylan nodded and turned the handle, "Do you have any food?" I asked hopefully.

He smirked at me, and stepped out of the room.

I sighed.

"I guess this is going to be a long night." I said to the wall.

A few minutes later, I was sitting on my floor painting my toenails and a knock sounded on the door.

"Come in." I called.

"I brought you some food, woman." said Connor, stepping in.

"What did you bring?" I asked, not looking up.

"M&M's and popcorn."

I took the bowl and bag from him.

"Thanks Con." I said, smiling.

"Yeah."

He leaned on my dresser, "So... You and Dylan?"

I closed my eyes, "We're not a thing yet."

"But you want to be."

I sighed and opened my eyes, "Yes. We do."

"Well... I hope you guys have fun." Connor smiled shyly and walked out.
