"When did you take it?" asked Spencer, as we sat across from each other at Curly's, our town's Diner.
"September." I said, remembering the weekend she'd come to stay with us.
"Well, Lauren's going to be here soon." said Spencer.
I let my mind wander to Lauren.
"There she is." Spencer whispered, and then, "Oh my god."
I looked, and my mouth dropped. I stood up and walked to the door, holding it open for the pregnant eighteen year old that was walking through it.
"Holden." Her eyes flashed surprise.
"When are you due?" I managed to choke out.
She blinked and looked down, "June."
"So it's..."
Lauren nodded, "But Gavin thinks it's his, and I don't want you to fucking ruin that Holden." She said, her eyes flashing, "You've already ruined enough for me."
