Chapter-26

Bruno's POV;

I woke up from a warm bright sunlight upon my face. I frowned at the light And took a glance at my ph and it's showing 10:30am. I slept for such a long hours. I fell asleep in the guest room. I got up from the bed and unlocked the door, heading myself to my room. I opened the door and scanned if Jessica's still there? I quickly looked over to the wardrobe. No she's gone. I kind of feel bad to let her out like this thinking she is pregnant. Although she cheated on me, she is still my friend. I pulled out my ph from my back pocket and dialed Jessica's number.

I sighed at the first ring of the ph. I don't know what I am doing either.

"Hello" her soft, raspy voice answered.

"Jess! Um I just want to know, is everything okay?" I asked her.

"Don't worry I'm fine. Jared came and fetched me last night...." I let out a deep sigh hearing all these things.

"I'm sorry Bru. I just messed things up again" I think she heard me.

"It's okay. Don't be sorry. I'm the one who need to say then. I shouldn't have let you out alone last night. Sorry, I'm not a good friend." She let out a chuckle after hearing me saying.

"Wow, so you still consider me as a friend?" She asked me, I can feel she is smiling at my words. Well why wouldn't we? She's been my friend since high school. I can't let that precious bond between us to break so easily. I just can't afford to do that.

"Of course Jessie! I hope you all the best with that guy" I called her by her nickname that I used to call her back in the days.

"Hahaha you still don't like him, do you?"

"You heard me, that guy! He is much taller than me! I told you taller guys are no good..ugh they're just annoying!" I joked at her rolling my eyes when I said 'that guy'

"Thank you Bruno. I'm glad to know that you're okay. Don't always stick to the girls like me and go find your real love" she told me.

Ive already found her!

I mentally tell her. I just don't want things to be complicated like

"I was waiting for you last night because I was going to break up with you. I found my dream girl."

It's better I'll just act innocent like we broke up because she cheated on me not because I cheated on her at the same time. I will just take the credit, can I? Anyway, Jessica and I are never meant to be as a couple. But she still is my best friend. We still are.

"I also hope you guys to have a happy family" I told her my final words and hung up the ph.

I scrolled down my contact list and I stopped when I see Evelyn's name. Shall I text her? I thought to myself and open up her contact to text her. Gosh I miss her so much.

"Hey it's your boy Bruno" I quickly typed and sent it. Wait no! I'm still mad at her. I deleted the message immediately after I though about it.

A minute later, my ph buzzed up there's a text message from Evelyn.

"Aye Bruno. Good morning <3"

I smiled at the message. She put the heart at the end. I basically jumped around after I read it like a school kid who just got A+ in his maths test.

Seconds later, my ph buzzed again. It says.

"Is there something you sent me? Because I got the noti but I didn't see it."

"No it's nothing. Good morning btw :)" I sent her back.

"See you later!" She texted me back.
