The sky was so pale. With not one cloud in sight. It had rained before, the clouds cried their hearts out today. Their not so silent screams could be heard through out the town. But there was one positive outcome. Everything in the park now looked clean,Fresh. The birds were singing happily. Some were bathing in the bird dish. The once dried up flowers and trees were now fresh and colourful. It was like the once dead environment got a dash of colour and came to live. Isn't it weird that how someone's cry benefits the other. Very similar to the human life.

I could see children playing on the swings. They looked so happy. They were oblivious to the world's problems. They couldn't care less. I wish I was a little kid too. Playing in the mud. Not caring about anything. They were pushing and playing and shouting. Mom's sitting in the far corner were chatting about how Christine's husband bought her a new diamond ring from Turkey. Me? I was sitting behind a bunch of trees observing everyone. Now and then I'll greet someone jogging by.Wondering why im such a soul-less depressed creature? Well, Greetings I'm Zoe Allison Trainer. 16 and a free spirit with a dream to travel around the world. The usual.I don't seem too bad now do I? But wait till you hear this.

I was only 5 when I was diagnosed with leukemia. My Father worked two jobs just to pay the rents and for my treatment until one day he thought he didn't need a dying daughter. He couldn't handle more so he did what most people would. He left me and my mom.

Ever since,my mom works in the hospital and then at the local fast food place in the hope to gain enough cash to pay our dues. I love her. She never married again and dedicated all her life to me. Although I'm afraid if I die what will she do? Where would she go? But I don't think too much about it. It worries me too much which makes me sick.

Since I was diagnosed with leukemia at such a young age,I never really went to school. I was homeschooled. So I don have many friends in case you didn't notice. I get awkward and weird around people.

It was raining before and it stopped. My mom wasn't home she was working. I was bored beyond life, so I decided to stroll in the park. So here I am sulking about how suckish my life is. On the positive side though, I'm still breathing although my doctor's clearly told my mom I won't survive when I was 10. They say I'm a walking miracle. My nurse Josphine, says I'm a fighter, a survivor. She thinks, it was my will and my mother's prayers behind the reason I'm still alive. Whether it was my will or my mother's countless prayers,I'm just glad I'm alive. There's so much I want to see. So much to explore. I won't stop fighting.I just won't.

It was getting dark now. Mother's came and told their children to tag along. The sky which was once pale slowly turned into a glowy orange yellow shade signalling that the sun was about to go in a deep slumber. The park was very soon dark. The once happy place looked similar to something out of a horror movie where the killer brings his victim and kills him.One last look at the park and I decide I should head back too before my mom freaks out.

Standing up I slowly started to walk towards my house. Deep in thought as I took small strides. Now and then skipping over the puddles. Very mature I know. But it just makes me happy.Just when I turned to reach my destination my mom called. Declining the call and not watching where I was going I bumped into something or should I say someone? Shutting my eyes tight, I waited till my butt hit the cold, hard wet ground but I didn't. Confused, I slowly opened my eyes to see, someone was holding me in their strong embrace. He saved me from my fall. It felt warm and safe. And God,He smelt heavenly. But this had to end. Every happy moment soon ends.Squirming in his grip he finally released me. Mumbling a quick sorry and not even sparing him a glance. I sprinted towards my house. I heard him say something but I couldn't hear him properly.I was breathing heavily when I reached. I composed myself and went in and it didn't go unnoticed by my mother. But she didn't question it thankfully. Instead she invited me for dinner before she headed off to the fast food place. We quietly ate and my mom hugged me and went.I went to my room and thoughg about what happened.Well that was something new. I don't always bump into strangers. And Incase you didn't notice im terribly awkward around people. Maybe he deserved a thank you too. He saved me didn't he? Well whatever. What's done is done. It's not like we'll meet again anyway. Unless destiny has a better plan. Hopefully not.
