Ever felt that the bones inside your body are crushing? When it get's so hard to breathe you think the end is near? Your body is burning, you decide to call your mom for help, you open your mouth and no words come out. My head was throbbing. I tired to stand up, but I felt dizzy. God what was happening? I couldn't die this young. The pain was unbearable. I thought of the worst scenarios, just when I was about to give up and just lay there until someone finds my dead body - Jeez I need to cut down on the mystery/thrillers. My phone beeped indicating a message. Well, what are you thinking now Zoe, just grab it and call mom. I opened it to find a text message from an unknown number. Ignoring it for now, I called mom as fast as I could. I'm glad I had her number on speed dial because my vision was slowly blurring.

Luckily, mom picked up on the second ring.

" Hey, honey everything okay?" Mom asked slightly worried.

I wanted to tell her I need her, I wanted her to come as soon as she could but no words would come out. I lay there, helpless.

"Zoe, you there? You're scarring me dear." Mom said panic finally settling in.

When she got no response, she finally ended the call, telling me she's on her way.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You're too loud, you'll wake her idiot."
"Yeah, I'm sorry dude. I'm just worried."
"HEY GUYS I'M BACK! MISSED ME?"
"SHUT UP! YOU'LL WAKE HER!"
"Sorry."
"You got the ice cream?"
"Yup, her favorite."
I heard voices, disturbing my sweet slumber. It wasn't my mom for sure. She knows better. Then who was it? I slowly opened my eye, the light almost burning it. I closed it immediately and opened it again. Checking in my surroundings, I wasn't in my room. Where was I and what happened? As on cue Memories of last night flooded back. I winced.
"Oh finally, you're awake. I was getting really tired watching you sleep."
My thoughts were cut short by a voice. I looked up to find none other than Zac himself. He stood up and started walking towards me.
"Hey, you alright?" He asked with concern evident in his voice.
"Yeah, where's Mom?" I asked him.
"Your Doctor called her a while ago. She's with her to discuss your health."
"Hey Zoe, I'm glad you're awake. Look I bought you your favorite, cookie dough ice cream." Chace said flashing me a million dollar smile.
I chuckled, "Thank you Chace, that's very kind of you."
"But it was my idea, I swear Zoe, I was the one who came up with this. I knew you'd like it. The only reason He went was because I still don't have my driver's license." Liam pouted. God, these boys were too cute.
"Thank you Liam, I do feel better." I told him honestly. He too like his brother showed me his pearly whites, in a smile that would totally melt your heart.
I tried to sit up but couldn't. I was still too weak.
"Here, let me help you." Zac said, helping me sit up.
"Thank you" I said.
"So Zozo, when are you gonna leave this place?" Zac asked.
" Wait what? Zozo? You got to be kidding me." I laughed at his ridiculous Nick name.
"What? It's not that bad." Zac smiled.
"Yeah Right, ZachyBear." I said in between laughs. It wasn't that funny but I couldn't stop laughing.
"Now that's what you call ridiculous." Zac said with a grimace.
"Hey, how does Zac get a cute nickname?" Liam protested.
"Well, because I'm cute duh." Zac replied before I could even say something. And stuck his tongue out at Liam.
Adorable.
The door flew open and in came my mom with my doctor.
My mom hurried and hugged me so hard, I thought I'd die of suffocation. That's a bit exaggerating but whatever.
"Hey Mom." I muttered after she released me from her killer hug.
"Zoe Allison Trainer, don't you ever scare me like that ever again." She said and then hugged me again.
"Yes ma'am." I chuckled.
"How are you feeling now?" My mom asked concerned.
"Alot Better honestly, after the boys bought me ice cream." I smiled.
My mom thanked the boys, and politely asked them to leave.
"Now Zoe, Doctor Smith here wants to tell you something." My mom told me and sat beside me holding my hand.
Doctor Elena Smith had treated me ever since I was a kid. She knew my condition real well.
"Zoe, I thought you were more responsible than this. You forgot your meds. This behavior is not acceptable. You were lucky you called your mom on time. Your condition could have been a thousand times worse. I'm disappointed Zoe. Just to make sure this doesn't happen again, I'm handing your meds to your mom. Be careful Zoe. And you need to eat healthy from now on."
" I'm sorry I was so busy with Liz, I completely forgot." I replied honestly.
"That's the thing Zoe, I and your mom decided it'll be better for you if you just quit this job. It's too much pressure." Doctor Smith told me.
"No. I'm sorry. There's no way I'm quitting. For once I feel normal. That girl, she's my source of joy. There's no way I'm quitting." I looked at my mom. She has to agree. She can't make me quit. I just won't.
My mom sighed.
"Fine, only if you promise you'll be more careful and responsible."
"I promise" I shouted.
My mom and Doctor shared a look.
"And hey, Doctor Smith, when can I go?" I asked hopefully.
"Considering you feel well and your reports are positive, I can say tomorrow." She smiled at me.
"And can I please have my ice cream? Please? They bought it just for me." I asked doctor Smith, making puppy dog eyes for extra effect.
She huffed.
"Fine, I guess a little ice cream won't hurt but just take care of your diet." She told me.
I nodded. She was the best. God I Loved her.
"Wait Mom, how did Zac, Chace and Liam get here? How did they know?" I asked her suddenly curious.
My mom chuckled.
"They came to take you out for breakfast, not finding us home, they asked the Lee's our neighbors. Mr Lee told them and they rushed here. Zoe, they're wonderful boys. I'm glad you befriended them." My mom explained.
"Ohkay." I replied.
Honestly I was surprised. I didn't even know them that well, yet they came all the way to invite me for breakfast. This friendship is blossoming faster than I expected.
*************************
Hey lovelies. You weren't expecting that right? Well what can I say.
*Hides behind a wall*
Don't throw in the hate comments. Just keep on reading you'll understand. And I hope you respect my decisions.
Also for those of you wondering who forgets taking meds, well for starters Zoe never had friends. And a six year old is full responsibility so taking care of her she forget to take care of herself.
Don't be mad, please. *Pouts cutely*
Until next time Toodles.
